Have you ever slept on an air mattress?  

We keep one at my sister's for when we go visit, this is way cheaper then a hotel. It depends on how much air is in it, sometimes it is too hard and I almost roll off, other times my shoulder hits the floor.

But it is better then most sofa beds. I think they are worth the trouble.

I have used an air mattress and I absolutely hated it. It was very uncomfortable for me, but i can't stand things that seem to be to hard for me to sleep on. I like the cushiony mattresses. LOL! It wasn't to bad though, but i wouldn't wanna sleep on one every night. Kills my back. God bless

I slept on one at my aunts house once she had it on the living room floor so I didn't have to sleep on the hard floor. She had an electric pump to pump it up though those hadheld ones are not any fun I have a hard time blowing a kids intertube up with those! I think the air mattresses are comfortable but I will take my bed any day.

I used to have air mattress, but I am much better to sleep on my couch. Air bed is OK for me if stays with air all night. Some are deflating itself during the night.
I used to have one with easy inflating pump, but still prefer couch than mattress...

My husband and I were too broke to go camping anywhere except our back yard. It was August and that year, the weather was like July (we have a rainy season in August, but heat in July-usually). There were sales on air mattresses for hardly any money. So we bought one and camped amoung our own trees. We thought the air mattress was great! With our arthritis, that's the only way we could go camping. Ours we could use a different kind of pump, I forget what, but I don't think he used a hand pump. I think he had something that blew it up for him. It was very comfortable.

I use one for camping, but would not use it everyday. My new chair is more comfortable. I do pump one up on occasion at home to have a picnic outside, as its a fun way to spend an afternoon napping after a meal.

I did have a air mattress and we used it when we first moved into our house before we bought our bed. Then we used it for our overnight guests. To blow it up, we used our vaccuum. It was much faster than using the pump. lol

The first one I remember using was back when I was about 9 years old. I didn't find it comfy at all, but in all the excitement of camping I didn't really care. LOL

As my husband wanted a tent last Father's Day, I picked one up at Wal-Mart, along with all the other goodies. This of course included one queen size air bed and two singles. The queen in very comfy, but the other two remind me a little of that first one back when I was a kid. Probably because it has those darn round pockets on the top of it.

If you can you should get an air pump so that you don't have to pump the bed up by hand. They run around $20.00 at Wal-Mart which isn't too bad, especially if you don't want to wear yourself out. :P

Yes i have slept on an air mattress before..My daughter has a high rise air mattress,its like a box spring and mattress.It has a double air mattress,it is higher up than the older kind and it is very comfortable..I am sure you have seen them..I have also slept on the plain air mattress and it is very comfortable..I know it takes some time to pump it up but it seemed like my daughet attached something to hers and it pumped up by itself...If you and your granddaughter sleeps on it for a couple of nights maybe you could just lean it up against your bedroom wall and not let the air out each time,and it would not be so hard to do it. I used my bed the same way you used yours for your Moms things at christmas,i had my bed full of wrapping paper tags, tape and all kinds of things..I finally just a few days ago got it all cleaned off..........

No i have not slept on a air mattress i don't think it would be comfortable.
