That is very true. You can get viruses and spyware from alot of websites that are not secure or trusted sites. You have to be careful what you download.

Yes this can happen. And the more questionable the program or website the more likely you can get spyware. The high risk areas are adult sites and torrents, things of that nature. Other third-party sites may offer downloads but it could be questionable. Also watch out for phishing and spoof sites. Drive-by downloads are also key things to look out for since they are always spyware/malware (even if it says its an anti-virus or anything harmless). Drive-bys pop on your computer and automatically install or they spoof the site as a large image which then prompts the download and installation. Above all else, have a good antivirus, have good antispyware, watch where you are on the net, back up your material consistently.

yes it's true!such as not all software you can download on the ent will put spyware or malaware on your hard disk after your download but there are quite a lot,especially software or download which they are not trusted, that they can instal on your computer spyware!!especially they are from for example peer-to-peer software as emule or thers like that...if you download some fil or game or programs on this net sometimes you can be download the wrong thing and so a spyware can be installed on your pc!! normally it is better to download just trsued applications on the net for your pc safety and privacy too..or if something can be dangerous you can scan it with a specilized software to control the nature of your download!!
