How old were you when you made your first paycheck? I was 11 years old when I got my first paper route and haven't stopped working since. I am all about learning new things and trying new things. Right now I'm building my brand and teaching my children about what it means to be successful.

I got my first actual paycheck when i was like 18 i think up until then I think that I just got paid cash...I really do like cash alot better though because you dont have to go through the hastle of going to the bank and getting it cashed before you can go and spend the money that you have spent your time working for....it really does give you a good feeling whenever you get your first paycheck it make s you feel like you have really accomplished something big and im like you i have tried to make money since then

I was 11. My mom and dad only lived a few blocks from where I babysat so it was easy. If I ever needed anything they were an ear shot away. I think it's good to teach responsibility at a young age.
If I had to do it all over again I would. I will also probably teach this to my own children once they reach an age I think is deemed appropriately.

Thank you for commenting. I think it is important to instill in our children work ethic early on. I see so many young people without good work ethic.

I was 12. I cleared tables in a deli my father owned. He was teaching me the value of work. After that, my 1st job was at Hardees when i was 16. I never was able to look at fast food quite the same after working there.

I hear you, fast food kind of makes me sick. I worked for a butcher one time, but I still eat meat.

Thank You for commenting. I used to do a bit recycling, usually aluminum cans. We also used to collect bottles for the deposit just to earn some money to buy baseball cards...those were the days.

I was 17 when I got my first real paycheck, I used to do oddjobs like gardening and delivering papers before that but it was always cash, I never got my first cheque until I started training to work as a secretary, it was great being paid whilst training, mind you it wasn't much looking back, but it was wonderful being able to open my current account and pay in the cheque, I felt so grown up and mature. I couldn't wait to get my next one after that!
