Anyone watch "Apprentice" show? |
|
I liked the first couple seasons, but was it last season, when they did the loosing team sleeps outside in the tents - I thought oh good grief, this is the Apprentice, not Survivor! They are testing their skills and business knowledge and so forth. Sleeping in tents is not appropriate for this show so I didn't watch it that season. But didn't hear of any new ones until last week I was flipping channels nad there was athe new season - all celebrities and Marisa or whateer her name is - that one that was a, well forget what she was, suffice to say she wasn't very nice, but here she is with all the celebrities - I don't think she should have been included in this one. But on to the question... again, what's the point? all these celebrities have tons of friends with money. The team that makes the most money wins, but since they all have tons of friends that have tons of money, it just takes a phone call. it doesn't seem much like they are working to hard to make something happen. The other players all had to really work and create and figure - all things working people have to do. But to make some calls to collect money from friends, just doesnt' seem to me to be a good game show. Nice it all goes to charity, but still, the point of "Apprentice" is to give a hard working person a Chance of a life time. Which of these stars is going to quit their careers and work for Trump? Other than Marisa, of course! Just not into it this season....are you? Am I missing something?

coffeebreak (2825) | 9 months ago | I'm not much on reality shows either. I like SUrvivor, but only to a point. Get really tired of the griping, complaining, bickering and naked women falling out all over the place. But I like the challenges and to see the scenery and landscape of places that not only will I never visit, but some I've never heard of! I watched the first 2-3 seasons of Apprentice as I was interested in how they think to do thingso r come up with the ideas to do the challenges, but it just got to much bickering too and then that tent thing.. I don't 'stay tuned" anymore! BUt I do like the Food Network reality shows - those people really ahve to know so much and "preform" in a short period of time with next to nothing and it has to work! SO I like those.

coffeebreak (2825) | 9 months ago | I just saw last weeks, by accident, and yeah, boring fits it! I thought that wrestling guy/judge (opposite his daughter) was a joke! It just isn't the same without George and Carolyn. Now that I remember that, that is the other reason I stopped watching. His daughter and son, just don't have it. They just don't give the shopw what George and carolyn did

coffeebreak (2825) | 9 months ago | I think LA was the one where the loosing team had to "live" out in the tents in the back yard, shower in the back yard even. That just really took for the profession of the show. I like seeing the challenges they do and how each team works them. Board room is annoying. I guess if nothing else is on and I have nothing to talk about on MyLot I'll watch it tonight!

4. piatos03 (279) | 9 months ago | I have only watched one season of the Apprentice. I think it was season 4. Although I have caught some episodes off the other seasons. I especially like the challenges. Each week, the producers come up with something new. They helped me with my advertising class at one point. Back to season 4, it was the weirdest season. Trump had multiple firings a couple of times. I think it was the first time he ever did that. Some of the contestants were really incompetent. I loved the outcome of the top two though. Rebecca and the Rhodes Scholar guy was my favorite.

coffeebreak (2825) | 9 months ago | It does have some good "times" and good points and all. Seeing how they tackle the challenges is interesting. I often wonder if I could have thought to do that!

piatos03 (279) | 9 months ago | Me too! Although I'd probably get intimidated by Trump in the board room and get myself fired.

5. desertdarlene (5653) | 9 months ago | I was watching the latest season, but now that Lost is coming back on, I'm probably not going to watch it. I think Omarosa's there because Trump likes her and wants her to "mix it up". But, she seems to have some allies on her team. I think last season, I watched the first few episodes, too, and then quit. It was on Sunday, I think, and there were too many shows to chose from. I thought I could catch up online, but they pulled the online episodes a couple of weeks after the show ended.

coffeebreak (2825) | 9 months ago | Omarosa! That's her name! I think her being the only non-celebrity kind of insults the celebrities. Not that I have a thing for celebs, I don't but she just doesn't fit.

6. oneandonemakesix (24154) | 9 months ago | I have not watched this show, but I have heard enough about it since Trace Adkins has been on it this season, and everyone says he just tries to stay out of the fighting which kind of seems like his personality, however I can't confirm this... I think this is what tv is going to become soon if there is no end in sight for the writers strike. As there are no new shows, but all re runs so television is loosing its audience base. Mooch

coffeebreak (2825) | 9 months ago | Yes, he is and yes he does. That it pretty cool too. I did watch last night and it was "different". The men tried to sabotage the women - sent in Vinny as a "SPY" but then they turned on him and all but told the women he was spying on them and they kicked Vinny out. So now this guy goes around saying he is man without a country. The fighting between him and that Pierse guy went on, got boring, and in the end at the board room, Vinny just resigned. But the women won. If he just had not done the wrong thing in the first place, it wouldn't have happened! Trace, yes, hardly said a word the whole time, didn't get into the fighting and all and it was cool as when they were all going on about a slogan, Trace just says "Wear them. Share them" the others shut up for a minute in amazement and couldn't believe he came up with the perfect slogan. That was pretty neat! Those Crocks they were dealing with (shoes) are the dumbest shoe I have seen in my life!!

7. JanisRemaxRealtor (147) | 9 months ago | The Apprentice has Jumped The Shark! I watched the first few seasons and really loved it. However, the celebrities (?)are mostly has beens that no one cares about. How in the world did Omerosa (SP) become a celebrity anyway. I hope by now she has been booted off of there. Anyway, you are not missing a thing, Donald Trump needs to go back to the basics. He can feel free to email me anytime if he needs any help with re-vamping his show:)

coffeebreak (2825) | 9 months ago | Yeah, it was good up until the one, I think out here in LA where the loosing team had to live outside in the tent...that was really stupid and so off topic...should have just got Survivor cast-offs for that show! Would have been better! I hadn't watched for the next season, just happened to be flipping channels and saw this one. I watched it last night, it was okay. The celebrities just don't demostrate the drive and ambition and working talent that the "non" celebrities have shown and that is an important part of the whole theme of the show.

JanisRemaxRealtor (147) | 9 months ago | My favorite season was the street smarts vs. the book smarts. Kendra Todd won that one. She is a Re/Max Realtor, same as me:)Once shows depend on "celebrities" to pull their shows out of the ratings dump, it's already too late. I don't dislike "The Donald", in fact, I would love to have a sit down with him. But, he should have left people wanting more instead of people turning the channel.
| |
|
|
coffeebreak (2825) | 9 months ago | That was a good one! And didn't the "street smarts" win? OR at least won the most! That was cool!
| |
|
|
JanisRemaxRealtor (147) | 9 months ago | Yes, Kendra Todd the Re/Max Realtor was the street smarts that won. It was a good season. The girl she was in competition with on the very last show was also a street smarts person. I am all for education, but there is something to be said for practical experience!

coffeebreak (2825) | 9 months ago | Most certainly is! Sometimes it is better to learn by doing, trial and error and all that than from a book that has only one theory and from a person, who has never done the issue before and doesn't have a clue as to what is going on, cause the book only said.....

JanisRemaxRealtor (147) | 9 months ago | I mostly enjoyed the college courses I took by professors that were working in the "real world". Speaking of the real world, I have a few business emails I need to attend to.....
