Thanks for the tip Marcie but milk don't stay in my house long enough to spoil. My husband has to have milk with everything. I also use it alot when cooking meals too. We go through milk like crazy and it is expensive these days. I wish he would drink something else sometimes.

i bet you drink 2% milk. I like whole Milk, nothing more, I might cook with 2% milk if I don't have nothing else to cook with. You have children and a Husband that is understandable.

Noooooo. LOL. He won't drink nothing but whole milk. He has to have it every day. I poured 2% in a whole, milk jug one time and he never knew the difference LOL, but I told him later. I said boy that milk may not be good, he said, what is wrong with it, I laughed and said it is 2% dummy LOL.

That's a great hint for everybody Marcie! I'll have to remember that one for sure. I'll go through periods where I go through lots of milk, then others where it spoils before I get done with it. Hey...(off topic) when you get a minute, go over to our Mchat site and check out the pictures section...I stuck one in with the horse and me. (Figure you'd like to see who you're chatting with lol) Have a nice evening! Later...Joy

You might try what has been done with fresh milk in Europe for the last fifty years: put a little Hydrogen Peroxide solution in a gallon of milk...it kills and prevents bacteria from spoiling the milk. The regular grade 2% hydrogen peroxide that you buy in the store for putting on cuts works fine, if you use the stronger Lady Clairol H2O2, then put less in the milk. It works, and the milk does not spoil even if someone leaves it out, and it sits un-refrigerated.

I've never heard of that before. We go through a lot of milk every day, having a large brood and all, so it never spoils.
