Do You Like Children's Movies... |
|
Do you ever like to watch kids movies? Do you own kids movies even though you don't have kids? What's your favorite? Last night, Hubby and I sat and watched Shrek, Chicken Run and the Grinch Stole Christmas LOL We also have Lion King, Finding Nemo, Ice Age and a few others. My favorite is Little Mermaid. I have always loved that movie. We have Lion King and Finding Nemo on DVD and the rest on VHS (their getting replaced with DVD's). Of course, some of Tim Burton's movies fall into this category as well...Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas. I love his movies as well...something about how he does them totally with clay just makes them look so awesome. We just really like to watch them sometimes. Oh, and a few months ago we saw Over the Hedge and Hubby loved that one...LOL I think their a nice break from all the troubles we face everyday in life. So, what about you? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

3. vera5d (1958) | 6 months ago | I have seen just about every kids movie there is...I still need to see surf's up and ratouille...I know they will come on demand eventually... Here's some other good ones if you haven't seen them yet: Toy Story, Cars, Open Season, Shark's Tale, Flushed Away, Wallace & Grommit My favorite Disney movie of all time is Lady and the Tramp...I also liked 101 Dalmations, Sleeping Beauty, and the clasic Winnie the Poohs... Now ask me to list that many grown-up movies, haha...It might take awhile!!

I keep them for the grandkids, and myself. When we go to my brother's house we often watch children's movies, and he has never had kids. We like Veggie Tales movies a lot. Sometimes there are terrific lessons in the kids movies, and a lot more good values than in adult movies. I went with my clients to see Underdog. I have The Big Green, Angels in the Outfield, Toy Story, Jumanji, Babe, and a lot of others. Mostly VHS.

5. SuzyPuppyChese (567) | 6 months ago | I don't go so much for the animated ones, but I love the live action movies about animals & nature. And there are some good ones about kids & baseball, things like that. Bad News Bears is an older one I liked. For some reason, titles aren't popping into my head. My memory is not good lately.

6. TheHairDresser (3393) | 6 months ago | Hi twoey I must have watched that Little Mermaid 550 times over with my little nephew, when he was little! We laughed and laughed and everytime those little fishes jumped out of the water and started singing, his laughter could not be controlled. Oh, the fond memories. I do not have anything now twoey, but I would watch these movies of course with family members and including my son, ours was the Never Ending Story. I liked Snow White and Pinocchio too LOL Snow White was such a doll, so beautiful and kind! Thanks twoey for bringing good memories to me:)* So yes, if I could, I would watch them now with someone I could watch them with..(((twoey))))

8. raychill (3488) | 6 months ago | Whoever said those movies were for kids? If you look the genre's are typically more something like "family" and what IS family exactly? Each and every Family is different. So a family could include kids and could just be adults. in any case, they are Family movies and not movies for kids. Plus, movies like Shrek are made for adults just as much as they are for children because there are plenty of jokes that children wouldn't understand in the movie. why, if it's a kids movie, make jokes above kids head? and then movies like the Lion King, well I was a kid when that movie came out. I mean, I was 12...or the Little Mermaid, I was 7. I enjoyed them then and I still love them now. Maybe becuase I was a kid or maybe because they are movies meant for anyone. My DVD collection is probably about 35% comedy, 30% family, 20% horror and the last 15% fills in the rest like drama and music and the like. I am single with no children in my household. But a lot of those movies are made for adults and a lot of those movies came out when I was a kid. and... I just like movies.

9. wolfie34 (10254) | 6 months ago | I love Shrek! I have seen the films soooo many times I have lost count! I still haven't seen the second installment of Ice Age, which is a definite must! Corpse Bride I actually went to the cinema to see, oh and not forgetting all the Harry Potter films too! What about Home Alone? Charlie and The Chocolate Factory two of my all time favourites and Wallace and Gromit? Well I could keep going here, yep definitely love children's movies, not so keen on Disney, but mum loves Disney and has stacks of Disney films.

10. vicki2876 (2260) | 6 months ago | I actually do love children's movies and I am lucky to have three children here at home so I can use them as my excuse to watch them. LOL I do like the disney's and stuff but also the fantasy ones too. I am looking forward to seeing spiderwick. I plan to see the new veggie tales one today. Though there are some I probably wouldn't care to see if the children sisn't want to but for the most part I would want to see them even if I didn't have children. LOL
