Hi have any of you ever gone too long without eating and found yourself shaking and your heart pounding, sweating and seeing spots in front of your eyes. I just went through an episode of that just now.I had not ate much for lunch as i am just getting over the stomach flu and just was not hungry. I fixed my supper and forced myself to eat most of it and felt okay so sat down at the computer and my eyes blurred. then I started shaking okay lo blood sugar so I went to the bathroom and checked my blood sugar it was sixty four. oh my so I took four glucose tablets and sat back down here. I am not shaking but still has fuzzy images in frot of myeyes.I did not bother to check it again I just went ahead and took four glucose dex tablets. Now I am finally beginning to feel okay again. This can get so scary. I just wondered if this happens to any of you mylotters out there. I try to keep either glucose tablets or hard candy on hand all the time sometimes I use orange juice as it works really fast. I think the stomach flu has upset my metabolism something fierce.

That is Hypoglycemic sindrome.. I never have it. Usually people who experienced it have a diabetic. It would be good if you can check it to doctor, because a person can fasting for about 12 hours without feeling dizzy (Hypoglycemic)

I sometimes golow without knowing why but usually its at night and I have not evidently eaten enough to go with the meds that I take I have tried to cut my dose of glyburide in half and that sometimes does help.

I am a diabetic although diabetic are perceive to become hyperglycemia than hypoglycemic we too are prone to have that one if we starve ourselves. That is why my doc said I should balance my eating habits. Eat to avoid getting hungry but do not overeat too since your sugar may just shoot up. Starving might shoot your sugars way down below your normal levels and end getting low blood sugars.
