did you talk baby talk to your children, or do you talk that way to your mate

I NEVER baby talk to my kids! The worst thing ever would be to try to undo bad talking habits that you yourself created! There's enough work to do teaching children to speak properly without that. My mother-in-law though must have done it because she's stuck in permanent baby-talk mode. She baby talks to EVERYONE when she's at home. Strangely enough, she never does it on the phone. It even drives my husband crazy!

I have never talked to any of mine like babies, I just talk to them normally. I have a 2 year old daughter and she is still in her pushchair and when we go out I just talk away to her, especially when we are in a shop I ask her opinion about things and tell her why I want something. I get some really strange looks I think that maybe people think I am talking to myself! My husband used to baby talk to our boys terrible when they were babies and I still rib him about it now!

I don't think I talked much baby talk to my daughter when she was little. That is just not my style. I never talk baby talk with my husband either LOL. don't find it cute when people talk to their babies or their mate with baby talk either. It is embarrassing LOL.

no, I was not one to talk baby talk with my children - and I find I have a very low tolerance level when I hear couples talking that way to each other - save it for your private time, do not involve me please!!!

No Sweet I didn't talk babytalk I spoke just normal language to my babies It doesn't annoy me I just don't use it myself To each his/her own! xoxoxoxoxo

Have talked baby talk to my children when they were younger..I have talked baby talk to my husband(in privacy of my home) but just to annoy him. It is very annoying when people do it to their partner...

I hate baby talk it makes me want to scream! We have a girl at work that does it and it drives me right up the wall! I only do it to my husband when we are joking about someone else that does it because he too thinks it is totally stupid.

I think little ones have a hard enough time learning to talk without adults muddying up things with stupid baby talk.if they only knew how silly they sound to other people they would stop doing it. I never talked baby talk to my kids nor to my mate. I had some pet names for my hubby but they were not baby talk.I do not think baby talk is cute I find it irritating.
