Do you want your homemade food to look homemade or store bought

I like my food to look nice, but tt does not need to look like it came from a store pre-made for me. What is more important to me is how the food tastes. I personally do not like most store bought cole slaw. It never has enough flavor for me.

If its homemade then I am all about the taste!! I think taste is more important than appearance and I think theres something special about having something home made versus store bought. I think the catching veggie thing is very New Orleans-- I had never heard of it until this discussion. How fun!

i like my food to look presentable enough to eat. i always cook, and i cook a lot for i have four children. if we will have a picnic a pack the food good enough to look like somehow like from the take outs. but sometimes my children dont care about how it looks they are more concern on how it taste.

As long as it taste good, it doesn't matter if it looks home made or not to me.. I am sure it was good and making me hungry, I haven't had home made coleslaw in a long time..

I like the "homemade" look. But, as like other people have said above me, I really just like to have the food look presentable and taste good. It doesn't matter if it looks different than a restaurant meal to me.

How do you "catch" veges?
I try to get the homemade look with foods. I rarely buy packaged food anyway.
I would slice my cabbage finely.

I think the taste is more important than the appearance, but looking homemade sometimes is better, because it looks fresher and more appealing. And I really don't like the way store bought coleslaw looks anyway, all diced into these tiny pieces. I prefer it shredded in a food processor and I like to be able to taste the individual ingredients, like if you add carrot, I don't want it minced up so small I can't tell it's carrot. Does that make sense? Presentation is important to some degree, but taste and nutrition are more important.

I woudl prefer that my food looked home made and not pre made, and what a great thing to throw instead of candies, vegetales,

I'm sure the kids didn't love it as much....

I've had stuffed cabbage before, and it turned out really really good....

And while it may be fun to try to fool people about home made looking store bought, I like my food to look home made.

Actually when we are making some food at home. you always like it to look good. may be like that in restaurant. it is because we think when somebody eats those, the appearance if like restaurant makes it look good.

I miss New Orleans! I used to go there all the time when I lived in Mississippi. I went the Mardi Gras parades there but never the St. Patrick's Day ones.

I like my food to taste good! It doesn't matter to me whether it looks store bought or home made. All that matters to me is that it has good flavor.

I don't think my husband has ever complained about anything that I have made him. A pretty good realization after 5 years.
