lays chips  

I haven't made my own chips, but one day i'm going to try it. I like lays and ruffles too. I like dorritos too.

Guilty Yes I like lays potato chips, but they are so bad for you..So we don't buy them often, actually if anyone buys them, it is my husband, I won't buy them..

So soaking in cold water first, what does that do? And what do you mean by pre-cook..I do take left over baked potatoes and chop into bite size cubes and fry those with.Really good with onions, but still, not good for you..

My fave chips are Funyums.
They come in a yellow bag.
However it's spelled.
Talk about a salty chip. Wooo Hooo!

I like Lays, but I'm not real particular anyway, except I don't like any of them STALE.

I like Pringles too, they're different but still good.

When I was a kid we had Wise potato chips in New England. Those were goooood! Very thin and greasy.

I love Lays and Ruffle chips too. i like the plain ones. My husband made some fried potatoes the other day and they came out almost like chips but he didn't want to make them crispy. They were very good though.

I like lays and my husband like ruffles so when I buy chips, I buy a bag for me and a bag for him. He usually runs out of them way before I do and he'll help me eat mine. lol He likes the ridges on french fries too where as I like the shoestring kind so I'll sometimes buy both but most of the time I'll buy what he likes because he is a french fry freak!! lol

Well you hit my weak spot. I can give up desserts, chocolate, sugary things but if there are chips around it is sooooooo hard for me to resist. I like Lays chips preferably just the plain ones, like their "Deli stlye" rather than the Wavy Lays. If I eat the flavored ones it is usually BBQ or Chile and Limon. My favorite chips to buy in a store is the Kettle Chips can't remember the brand but Costco sells them under their brand name as well(same brand). I would love to try and make, I will have to try your suggestion to soak in cold water first. What do you mean by "first pre-cook" , then fry? How do you cook before putting them in the oil to fry?
If I don't have chips in the house no problem, out of sight out of mind.

I love chips~~~ especially lays , i eat a lot of chips even though i know they are not healthy food~~~ i like the vinger and salt flavor~~~

Lately, Ive been in lvoe with Miss Vickies chips. I love the Balsamic vinegar and onion flavoured the most. I just tried the Sweet Chili & sour cream chips tongiht and they arnt that bad. I use to love Lays but they have gotten so expensive lately.
