Mmmm..whenever I get a bit bored I tend to get creative for some reason...
Ever been in one of those moods that you really don't know what to do...I had a whole "schedule" of things to do listed for today, and I just wasn't into anything, though am back and forth here at MyLot and doing some of my fictional writing...have three novels in the works all mainly handwritten out,and now at least need to by typed in my computer..and have been typing in one of them...but not much in the mood for that either....yeesh
So decided to putter around Photoshop and do some photo-editing, when I came up with an idea
I often change around my screensavers according to the season...and use mainly my own photos to do so...I was going to put one of my own Easter/Spring type photos to use as a screensaver but then it was like mmmmmm....
Many of you know I'm into the Law of Attraction thing because of the recent fame of the DVD and book The Secret, though I've known about LOA for decades. Don't ask how many "vision boards" I have all over the place to focus my intent on getting those things and becoming successful in life...then it hit me...why not create a "vision board" screensaver? Like duh? So I dug into my photo file...most of the photos I used are not my own but ones I liked to suggest wealth and success...the jaguar car, my dream type home, pictures of money, bottle of Dom Perignon champagne, a new Nikon camera...I even transformed a photo of a book and added my name on it to suggest success as a writer and did a composite thing and added the words "Thoughts Become Things" So now when I turn on my computer, viola I see a great mind-set positive vision board of things representing success to me.
Have any of you thought of doing something like this? Do you have a screensaver and how often do you change it?

i like making my own screensavers too. if you want a cool program, it's called "picture and sound show" you can make different screensavers with different themes, change the background colors, change how long each picture stays on the screen, screen change effect, etc. you can even add sound. ithink i got it at download.com.

Is it Mac computer compatible? Many programs even screensavers aren't

Mmmm...yes, the nature screensavers would be a great idea, but wouldn't sound effects be a bit distracting??

It is quite a few years since I ever bothered to create a screensaver of my own.
I remember spending hours creating a video screensaver from a video cassette of La Traviata. I coupled the video player to the tuner card on the computer and recorded 4 or 5 excerpts, then spent ages editing the pieces and coupling them together via MGI Videowave. I even went to the trouble of adding scrolling text at the start introducing the scene and created a curtain opening transition for the moment that the music began. Within a month or so I got bored with it, so it probably took longer to create than it ever actually played.
I admit that I had fun making it, but doubt if I would bother making another.

Wow you really went to a lot of trouble creating your screensaver, must have had a lot of patience to do that...something I don't think I would have

i rarely change my screensaver. my screen saver was all about bubbles bouncing on my entire screen with some of my pictures and my bf's pictures are in it
