How often do you change your computer mouse batteries?  

About once a month I get a little warning logo that tells me my mouse batteries are critically low. I know then that I have about 3 days left. I use rechargeable batteries and they seem to be OK. Trouble is other member so the family keep pinching them for their cameras etc. Blooming annoying. My Keyboard is the same.

I have a laptop so dont have a mouse to change the batteries in.

I had a mouse like that,i fed it to the cat
Now the one i ahve is much better,i change batteries say about every 4-5 weeks

I still use a mouse that has to be plugged into the computer. I used a wireless one on vacation and wasn't impressed with it. I think I will stick with what I have for now.

ours is wired so we don't use batteries.

I use rechargable batteries both in the wireless mouse and keyboard... which makes four batteries (two each device). I keep another four batteries for my camera (two charged and two in the camera and another two charged at all times for my mouse and keyboard.

I have been using the same batteries literally for years and it has saved me a fortune on buying batteries over and over.

I used the rechargeable batteries instead and they last about 3 weeks, but not so much a hassle as having to buy new batteries all the time. I have a 15 minute charger so the wait is never too great. The nimh is 2500, they last better than the 2100's

My father gave me a cordless mouse for Christmas a few years ago and I love it. The batteries tend to last about a month or month and a half. I have noticed that when the 'critically low' alert pops up, I still have a number of days! The first time it happened I immediately replaced the batteries but later I did an experiment to see how long I could continue to use them! My father has a cordless mouse that he can turn off when not in use. Mine stays on no matter what. I really need to invest in some rechargables and a charger.

I couldn't use a mouse with batteries do you have to use one my friend? because it seems a waste and batteries are not cheap. Why can't you have a basic one that you can use without batteries. I don't think I've ever used one and until you mentioned it never knew that some mice need batteries, new one on me. Surely it would be cost effective to get a mouse minus the batteries?
