Watercolour is pretty neat. But I would have to say my trademark is working with acrylic. I've been working with that media of paint for many years now. I hate it though when there is remnant and despite saving it right it still dries up too much. Watercolour doesn't give me that, but I'm one to redo some parts of the painting, resulting in getting too much bleed or worse a bleedthrough on some surfaces(types of paper). After getting appropriate media this is less of an issue. I really liked the mini sketchbook I got designed for watercolor media.

I know some people might consider it cheesy and a lot of people don't take me seriously as a painter because of this, but I love to work with acrylic. It dries fast, you can get it in a million different colors for really, really cheap, and it's pretty much available everywhere. I pick up a new tube almost every time I go to Wal Mart.

I don't paint a lot, actually really only messing about with the kids, but I too really like watercolour.
It is "soft" - unlike oil paint or similar, where it's an effort to get how much you want and where you want it!
I also love how you can kinda wash water over it when you are finished to kinda make it blurry.

I really like to use Acrylic paint. I've been using acrylics since I was in high school long ago. I've tried oils, but I don't like all the mess and clean-up is very difficult. I haven't used much watercolor, though I've been meaning to try. I've seen lots of demonstrations and classes on watercolors, but my watercolors are locked away somewhere that's not easy to get to.

I like acrylics best because I mostly paint wood, and it works really well. It is durable and mixes well.
