Security breech on facebook - watch out!

apparently a vancouver technician found a loophole, he was able to get into personal and private photos of strangers, even get this,
Parris hilton's private photos
now that is scary,
do you use facebook? Do you have pictures up that you have deemed as private?
I use facebook but I have no pictures up there at all.

Oh my, I don't use facebook but have been invited to many times but never joined, now I am glad I didn't, I do have a myspace,myyearbook, stuff like that. But I do not have any photos on it but profile and on one it isn't even a real photo. I try never to put anyhting private on the computer that I am not afraid for the whole world to see because we never truly know how safe anything we have on here is, that is why we should be watching what our kids do and where they go online. We can set parental control so they can't view sites and stuff which alot of parents don't really do. But I think it is a must when my little sister starts using the computer you bet your last dollar I be setting some controls for the content and other things so she can't view some sites.

Hmm, Thanks winterose I haven't heard of of the nanny thing. I will check into that. Anything to keep kids safe nowdays is a must.

yes that is important also there are controls like netnanny which will monitor what she can see and what she cannot see.

Thanks for the important warning and information! that could be very scary. I guess we should not ever post anything that we are not willing to have seen... my mother had always warned me to never write anything down that you do not want to have seen because it is always possible to happen....

yes that is so true, I wrote about that in my novel where my character had important information to share with her friend who lived in the usa, my character, Carissa is canadian, and she didn't want to write it in a letter and she didn't want to say it on the phone either in case just, in case,

I use Facebook, but mainly for fun. I do a lot of the quizs they have. I have a few photos on there but they are just of scenery. I'm real picky about what I put out there for public viewing. Thanks for the heads up!

What exactly is facbook? Is it a place to upload all your photos just for storage?

it is a very huge network where just about everyone including stars are on,
you can add pictures, chat, send silly messages to each other etc,
but it doesn't pay

That is awful. I don't use facebook or myspace or anything like that. I am so sacred to put a picture of myself online for alot of reasons. Hackers know just what to do to get our personal information these days. I wish they would find somthing constructive to do instead of being so destructive to people's lives.
