It is so difficult to get a writing star. Whats your view?

I have something more than 90 articles. Ever since the stars promotion thing that encourage people to rate had resulted in my most of my articles rating going down. It was alright then, but now, it is really bad. I used to had 2 writing stars and was waiting for 15 of April 2008 for my rewards. And now, I am left with no stars. Oh well, I do not know what the reasons may be, but is this promotion a good thing or not. Could it encourages rating which compromise the integrity of genuine article rating? Well, guess I need to pump in more quality articles in trying to hit even 1 writing stars; if at all I am able to.

I can tell you it's not easy. I've gotten stars but even then you had to really put out some solid work on a consistent basis. The rating stars were difficult but I think they've fixed that. I'm assuming the writing stars are still the same, it just takes a while to get another star. Maybe try using a leapfrog and see if it will help.

No problem. I can see what you mean. Stars can come and go and in this reward-a-thon, it can make or break you as far as earning a heavy amount of money. That's what I've learned anyway.

Yes, I do agree. It is extremely difficult, I used to had 2 writing stars for awhile, after that it is gone. I do not know why. Find it quite frustrating even. Anyway, thanks for your kind response in this regards. Cheers.

The promotion rewards good writing - not just lots of writing. Therefore you can increase the money you earn from the promotion by improving the quality of what you have. I just earned my fourth writing star whcih means my articles during the promotion will get paid at a higher rate. Now I feel there's less pressure to write lots and lots of articles. Good luck - keep writng good articles and you'll get your stars

Well, in this specific nature of such contest may resulted in a fierce competition, I must say. Well, maybe I will just have to work on the quality, if most people felt that quality is the main problem here. Thanks for the response.

it is too difficult to earn writing star.As most of the helium writers wants rating star for the reward athon program more are trying to rate the articles and i am not sure of the quality of the rating there is so much movement in rankings of the article and making hard to get the required percentile.Though i am having aroung 125 articles and writing for them when they were as heliumknowledge.com yet i am not in a position to even get a single writing star.I tried leap frogging. But no gain.

Hi, thank you for your response. I fully agree with you on the rating system during this window period of promotion. I think the more articles you have, the more difficult for you to raise the percentile like in most case most of the percentile are rated to the bottom. Cheers.

Think the standards of writing have increased over the past few weeks. Some of my articles have dropped their ranking, so I have had to leapfrog to improve their quality. Personally I don't think it is any bad thing as it has meant I have had to improve my own writing style to ensure that I keep my writing stars

Well, to a certain extend, I believe this promotion will motivate writers to come up with quality articles. I do agree with you on this. But of course, in every case, there are bound to be unintended consequences, if you would probably realize. Thank your for your response.
