If I got the right size pair of sneakers for my husband yesterday. Today is his birthday and he really needed a good pair of sneakers. I didnt want to ask him his size because then he would know what I was getting him. I had an idea of the size thou. So today I gave him his present today and yes they fit! I was so happy and he was too. So have you bought someone a present and was alittle unsure of their size?

All the time I end up buying clothes for my nephews and nieces and I always get the size wrong. I end up taking it back to the store and exchanging it. So now I only give them money and let them buy themselves something with it, or I take them shopping with me to buy them something. But I do know what size my husband wears so that is never a problem for me. He wears a size 9 in shoes and wears a large in shirts and wears a 32 x 32 in jeans. So it is pretty easy to buy for him.

Ok Sweetie let me advise you lol next time you go to buy Shoes or Close for Hubby check his Size on the Shoes or Clothes he has lol, as that is what I would do and I do check Mike's or Mel's Size before I buy them anything lol
But Happy Birthday to him and I am so pleased that they fitted him
Love you xxx

Hi Terry. I have bought presents for family and friends that I was not sure about whether they would fit or not too. Sizes differ in every store and it's always difficult to choose the right size for my husband so I have to take him with me whenever we buy things for him, including shoes. He is fussy with the type of clothing and shoes he wears so I don't buy him anything unless he has tried it on.
When it comes to children I usually just go up a size just incase and if it doesn't fit they can always grow into it.
Happy Birthday to your hubby and that is awesome you found the right size for his shoes :)@maddysmommy (16230)

That's the good thing about shopping for things, you can always exchange for another or return them altogether :)

Tell hubby HAPPY BIRTHDAY! for me please, Terry. Have any plans to celebrate? Couple years ago, I bought hubby a new outfit at overstock.com but had to guess on his size cause he had gained some weight and needed new clothes. They ended up fitting him perfectly and he loved them. I had bought a new hoodie and pair of jeans.

Yeah I do. We ended up going back to overstock and buying him more outfits. He wanted more of the same hoodie but in different colors. lol

Hello dear TerryZ. It is so nice of you to have already bought a nice pair of sneakers for your husband. That is really a great surprise to him and I am sure that he appreciates it very much. Happy Birthday to Mr. TerryZ.
By the way, I have never bought any shoes for one without being sure of her size, but I always love to take him or her to the shoe shop to try them on before getting it. But I have already bought some causal clothes for my family without letting them know first as a surprise. Thanks.

Once I saw a lovely skirt that I wanted to buy my mum, I was only young at the time and I didn't know what to buy her for her birthday I didn't know if she was a size 16 or 14, so I rang her sister up and asked her, well I could hardly ask mum or look in her drawers, I know she could have taken it back but I wanted her to wear it on her special day, well I am glad I asked because her sister said 16! Mum loved it and it fitted like a glove, she wore it when we all went out for a meal. It was red, I love red, I remember that much and mum's expression on her face was priceless.

Happy birthday to your husband.
I retired from shopping and guessing a family member's size. It's not nearly as personable but I went to gift cards. It works much better for me and the family member. They get what they want that fits and I do nothing beyond buying the gift card. I am old and lazy and this works for me.

Wow, you are a brave soul.
I would buy my kids any kind of clothing without them, let alone my more picky husband..Besides picking out the wrong size, I probably would pick out the wrong style..
All I can say about you is,
for braving this and getting it right..

Did he not have any other shoes that you could check the size on? Even so, sometimes things fit differently and I have to try everything on. I'm glad they fit him.
My husband was in the hospital several months ago right after we married and I bought him slippers (his were pretty nasty and I was NOT carrying them into the hospital with me!).
I just looked in his old boots and found the size. Yep, they fit just fine and he's still wearing them every day.

This is why I try to prevent myself from buying personal gifts. I fear of buying something too big or too small and offending that person. But congrats on getting the perfect fit!

I have bought a few things for my mother before that I wasn't sure if they would fit or not. I did get the wrongsize once and took her with me to return it so I could find out her real size.
