How do you feel when you return to MyLot after a long break, come on tell me :-)

I am so glad to be back after a long break. Life in the goth household got quite fraught towards the end of last year and I felt that things were at a stage when I needed to stop, take a step back, re-think and re-evaluate. I wasn't able to spend much time at my computer so I reluctantly had to quit MyLot for a while, together with one or two other on-line occupations.
Life leads us down so many strange and varied paths, and it is only now that I feel able to return to spending time at my keyboard. It feels like I am come home again, or at least to my favourite cafe to meet up with old friends. So, how does it feel when you return?

I returned to a previous address after an 11 year abscence. I had many friends who I was eager to meet up with and catch up. I was shunned by everyone...it's a long story. That was 5 years ago and I have since moved away again to live on my own. I have no friends and things can get lonely.
I have my online friends but sadly, for me, a virtual friend is no substitute for the real thing, same goes for hugs...lol.
Welcome back. You'll find some of your friends gone probably but there are many new ones waiting to meet you. Have fun.

Hi, I was away for nearly a year similar to you with job pressures and other things stacking up. It was nice to return and especially see all my friends hadn't deleted me and all welcomed me back who are still around and supported with getting going again! I've been back about two weeks now, and although not mylotting every day it's like I've never been away (well some of the discussions are still the same anyone - not this one btw!)

I took a hiatus for a few months as well. It was nice to be back and get back into the swing of things, like slipping into your favorite jeans that haven't been worn in a while. There are some changes that I still don't quite understand yet (like the rankings in different categories), but for the most part it feels like not much has changed.

Welcome back, dear goth! I had been wondering where you had gotten off too.
The longest break I've had was when I was out of town for 5 days, other than that, I've seldom missed more than 24 hours and really I think I've managed to pop in at some point every day. So, I can't really relate to how it is to be away for a long break

Welcome back sweety - you really have been missed and I have been worried about you! I was awol for a few months due to my health and returning was overwhelming as I had so many email notifications and i didn't just want to delete them! lol I DID read them all but replying would have been impossible! It was quite nerve wracking when I came back as I was worried that most people may have forgotten me but as soon as I started responding and posting it was wonderful and now when I am not here for a whole day I get really upset! xxx

Hello dear recycledgoth. I am very glad to see you back to mylot again after having those things that need you to solve first. Welcome back.
Well, I am always very happy to come to mylot again after quite time away from mylot, which has now become my favorite social site, where I have made so many nice and kind friends through numerous and various kinds of discussions on different topics. This is the best place for me to be at. Naturally, it is always pleasant for me to be back home at mylot to meet up with old and new friends as well. Thanks and take care.

I did the same, although probably not for the same reasons. I graduated from college and got a new job that made it impossible for me to be on myLot very much. Now, coming back, it seems like a lot of things changed, but there are familiar things about this site, too. My return was good; I don't spend as much time as I used to here and it's been a nice return where I can talk again to people from all over!

I'm actually rather enjoying being back.
I left most because I didn't have time and I was getting to the point where I felt ill about going here, it just...didn't appeal to me, plus that was back when they still weren't paying that well..so I just couldn't find any good reasons to stay.
Oh, I popped in on occasion to check if I had any messages, but that's about it.
Now that I'm back though, it's a rather refreshed, nostalgic feeling.
I've always loved forums, despite my problems that I alwys develope on them...so this place has always had an atmosphere which I rather liked.

i usually feel a little disoriented getting back into it.especially if anything's changed,like they did with the small print on emails.

feeling so missed everyone in here especially friends who really active giving response in my discussion and gave them my response in my discussion. no matter how, still i would like to come back into mylot even from long time. mylot is quit too interesting and too pity to leave on

I have done the same thing and now with classes starting again I'll probably be spending a little less time here. I do feel the same way you do about coming back after taking a break. It's always so nice to talk with some friends and have a few laughs. I really never thought I would get into this site as much as I do and I am really glad I came across it.
