Do Liberals Even Know What "Standards" Mean?  

Did you really have to ask?... They have platitudes and lies.

When a liberal is brought to task for something they say, we are told it was out of context and therefore nothing to worry about, yet they then turn right around and jump McCain for his 100 year comment that they took out of context to deliberately mislead people.

They are the masters of the double standard... and they have no morals to speak of... and are severely lacking in ethics as well.

When a conservative screws up it is especially bad because we as conservative believe in a high moral and ethical standard... and they will suffer the displeasure of other conservatives.

When liberals screw up that is no big deal because they are just living down to our expectations of them. To them it is just business as usual, and they hate to have their many moral and ethical shortcomings pointed out... which is one reason Political Correctness was instituted.

If a conservative did the same things the liberals do they would try to lynch them.

When a liberal does it we are expected to look the other way and not be so mean.

ParaTed we have standard and that is why we are held to those standard. Liberal do not have standard, or if they do their standards are so low that Larry Flint could meet them. Al Gore can be so un-green because he buys carbon credits from his own company. So does his good friend John Edwards. Micheal Moore live in a Liberal neighborhood so it is okay. Hillary well I am not sure about, you would have to ask a liberal for that. It is okay that Hillary worked for Wal-Mart because she said that she was an advocate for the working poor. Liberals will believe anything they are told. I think we should start selling coast front property in Nevada to the Liberals, do you think they would buy it if Obama told them to.

Too many double standards to count and it can make a head spin.
Both parties have their problems, their misfits and their contradictions though.

Here are a couple more contradictions in this regard.


Coldcash Jefferson receiving bribes and deals, i.e. just proof of a bought and paid for politician... but its okay! -_- (also party affiliation is rarely or never mentioned in reports...)

McCain may have been involved in a land scam with Rick Renzi (party was mentioned, and the fact that quite a leap was construed by the media...that should say something...)

Kwame Kilpatrick, also having affairs (in the wake of Eliot Spitsonyou). But that's okay!! -_- (his party affiliation also not mentioned in news reports either...)

Anyone seeing a pattern yet? -_-

Ah well, it supposedly doesn't matter since it is all for the "greater good" (dubious talk also...). So its alright for these double standards and for these people to tell you how to live. Because of self-imposed entitlement and their "warning"/commanding the people, they are allowed to circumvent the rules. In other observation: Do as I say, not as I do... or how about Sacrifice for thee, Not for me.

Doesn't this all look encouraging folks? -_-

There is more than enough blame to go around. Liberals and conservatives both have a tendency to read & quote only what supports their position. For instance, a list could be made of poor Conservative standards & standard bearers just as you've made one here decrying Liberals. But what would be the point? They would each have some truth and some fiction and the only thing the debate would do is drive both sides further apart.

Unfortunately, when getting information only from one biased source, the facts often get skewered and both sides wind up defending facts that have been twisted.

There is a very good web site called factcheck.org that is independently funded by the Annenberg Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania. (You can go there or read about them on Wyckipedia) The site bunks political myths and will check political facts upon request. It is funded entirely from the estate of the late billionaire, Walter Annenberg and does not take money from any goverment office, business or private person. It's sole aim is to verify political facts and it's won some of the highest awards on the internet....Unfortunately, it has itself from time to time been misquoted by both sides. Check it out. You'll find things that will support your stand and things that you don't want to know but probably should. It is not a site for Liberals or for Conservatives.
