Well, that's good Marcie, I'm glad you like some Country music, and I'm glad you play guitar also! I've been playing many, many years! I quit playing in bands from 1992 until 2005, when I went to truck driving! Now that I quit driving trucks, I'm back to playiing again, and I've just started getting the income starting to come back in! I'm playing coffeehouses, in a country band, in a gospel band, and am starting a tejano band! Keep at it, that's all it takes to be able to play good guitar!

To me, the melody, and the rhythm are equally important! I learned to play both of them well! I also learned to play the bass lines of a song on bass! I usually don't play much rock on guitar, I like to play ballads, such as in easy listening or country, and some blues!

I prefer melody myself. I don't know a lot of people who play melody and I can't sing well enough to sing the melody while playing accompaniment. However, sometimes I do prerecord the melody and then play the chords. But generally, I'm a melody person. I like classical pieces. One of my favorites is Canarios.
