Follow Your Heart |
| |
| ... When I was young my heart was young then too, anything that it would tell me is the thing that I would do... These are words to words to a song made famous by Canadian singer Ann Murray the question I pose is, do you follow your heart for most of the decisions you make, or do you follow your head? Did you do one when you were younger and change since you have gotten older? now most of us can say we do a little of each, but really think on this one, which one heart or heart, feelings or logic do you do the most and why? Has this option worked out for you? | | | | | |

| | I have always followed my heart even when my brain was telling me otherwise. Now that I am older and wiser I know I should follow my head but it seems my heart always leads the way. | | | | | | |

| | When I was younger I was a follow my heart person, even if my head told me it was wrong. The innocence of not knowing right from wrong. As an adult, although there are times that I just want to follow my heart, I go with my head because I know that is the right decision to make. | | | | | | |

| | I was a heart person as well, now I do a bit of both, leading more to the head side as I get older. | | | |

| | I think as we get older we realize that following our heart does not get us as far or the best results as following our head. There have been times though in the past couple of years had I followed my heart, I think the outcome would have been better then it was because I followed my head. | | | |

| | This is tough. I think I always tend to follow my heart but at times my head does step in when it is something really important. By the way, I love Ann Murray, such a beautiful singing voice. | | | | | | |

| | I guess I can't really decide what I do.. I am very sensitive to others needs and feelings but I tend to weigh things prior to deciding what to do. xoxoxoxoxo | | | | | | |

| | I would have to say that mine is about equal in my decisions. when I was younger, I would follow my heart even though my head said not to. Now that I have grown older, I do follow my heart but my head makes sure I do the right thing at all times. | | | | | | |

| | "The heart has it reasons, which reason does not know." That was said by a philosopher when I read out book in Philosophy. I think more often I follow my heart, because my heart reflects the best things in life I want to do. Following the heart in making decisions in life, I think, gives the person maybe not the best, but a good result and it is only up to you if u can make it better/best. Following the heart prevents you from saying 'what ifs' in the end, because you only did what your heart tells you. But please don't be too impulsive. Following the heart doesn't always mean decide now. The heart is the center of the chest, but it beats on the left side, I guess that's the reason why, the heart isn't always right. But I think when it comes to love, following the heart all through out is a different story. I've been broken hearted. I had many regrets before, because I did not use my mind. | | | | | | |

| | I have seemed to switch my position in life. I am a pieces and my biggest fault is indecivness. I reason and question everything to death. I think about thinking about the decisions I am to make. My heart tends to be in opposition with my brain alot of time. Each decision to fowllow my heart gets interatted by my brain. And As i look back it seems my brain has won-out most of the time. This decision saddens me I do not think it is the best choice althought I usto. Brain decisions are largley governed by societyies unconcious desires. Somwhere in our modern evolution we have detached outselves from the animal kindom and been taught to supress our desires and instincts. . But its our biological instincts that have led us to adapt and achieve what we have become. From what I have learned based mostly on brain decisions is: If you fowllow your bain and not your heart it seem to only lead to more thinking, as you can't stop thinking about your hearts desires. By fowlling your heart you silence you brain. Like the saying "it is better to have loved and lost than to have never have loved at all" is the same as it is better to have tried and failed than to have never tried at all !! | | | |
