hi Ruby of course I will pick up that cent when I find it. My mom did and so do I. Not because of luck or bad luck but because many cents will be a $ or here Euro at least.

Hello, I normally used to pick up pennies but now I don't always, I will pick up anything larger tho 5 cents a dime a quarter whatever. I wonder how many dollars I lost from not picking up pennies? something to think about lol.

for myself, lol i dont pick up pennies, just cause am too lazy to bend over for a cent lol.

i can see how its bad luck though lol. people should save every cent, and pick up every coin or opportunity that comes to them.

Yes I always used to because my parents told me it was lucky to pick a penny up, now a days I dont get chance my children see it and have grabbed it before I could even start to say oh look a penny lol!

yes, i don't pick up coins laying elsewhere, other than our home's floor. it was said that some when they are send to their funeral, their fmailies would be throwing coins, and picking them up may actually bring bad luck.

i have a friend though who believes otherwise. she said when you see a coin you should pick it up for goodluck.

Yep I most certainly do, well, if there is no one looking, I grew up in a time where it was considered trampish to do that and it kind of stuck!! I pick them up, or get my kids to pick them up and then put them in our savings pot to go towards things for the family.

Always Ruby. But not in the house. Don't ask me why, because I don't know. We have had a penny sitting under the telephone table in the hall for a couple of days. It's there now and will be tomorrow. Isn't that crackers? When I vacuum the hall next I shall pick it up then. In the street though, I pick up any money that I find. People simply do not lose enough these days. We've become a nation of misers. LOL.

I belong to those who drop the penny in the frist place and can't be bothered to pick it up... So I hope you had good luck when you picked it up...

I try not to walk past any coins I see on the ground. It may be small change, but as I see it, it can be put to good use. Whether I keep it to spend, save it or donate it to charity, no matter how small the coin amount is, it's for a good cause. It's kind of a mini blessing I guess.
