I just experienced one of those wonderful moments in parenthood that make you stop and realize just how lucky you are to be a part of their little lives.
We went to Walmart on Tuesday and at the exit of the store they were giving away a little pot with a couple of sunflower seeds in it to all the kids as they left for earth day. The lady told my 4 year old that there was a flower in there that would grow if we watered it. That day he kept looking at it to see if anything was growing, and the next and the next, we put a little water in it every day, and he was very good about not touching it very much. Today he finished breakfast and went over to look at his plant. He got all excited and started jumping up and down saying, "It's grown, it's grown." I walked over and sure enough there are two plants that popped up over night and are already a couple of inches tall.
He was so excited, and we were jumping up and down and hugging. It was a wonderful moment. Just for him to be able to see nature in action was very exiting.
Please share a wonderful parenting moment such as this one.

I get that feeling every night when I come home from work, and my kids give me a big, "Hi Daddy!" and a big hug. There is nothing in the world better than that.

That is so cool, if I had known I would have taken my son their Tuesday because I was in town that day getting my daughter her drivers license..So now he has something to look forward to, watching this plant grow bigger every day..
