Reality shows, like them or hate them?

I haven't really seen reality tv, what they call reality tv isn't very real at all, and I doubt that unless people had a camera on them with out their knowing we never will get 'reality' people are usually going to end up trying to show their best side, or in some way alter their behavior based on knowing that they are being filmed.

That said, I don't watch it, I have gotten to the point that I hardly even know what is on primetime tv any more simply because I have avoided reality tv so much.

I watch a few of them, the one I still watch all the time when it is on is Big Brother, I do not know why I guess it has been on for that long it is just habit. Also when it starts it is also a sign that summer is on its way. (well hopefully). But other than that I do not bother with them at all.

I absolutely hate most of the reality shows. I don't know why they even call most of the "reality" shows...they certainly are not real.

Not that I don't like to watch real things. I do like "Crime and Punishment," the spin-off of "Law & Order" that shows real court cases. And I have watched "America's Funniest Home Videos," and laughed. I also will watch "Life In The ER." But the mainstream, so-called reality shows are not very real at all. The people on them are so very phoney!

So over all, I hate them!:P

I do watch The Biggest Loser; however, who wins the weight loss is not the reason I watch the show. Each episode the trainers give tips on what to weight, how many calories are in certain foods, and exercise tips. It doesn't cost me anything for these tips and have been using them to lose weight.

I like some reality shows but it has gone a little over board with them. I didn't watch the one with the lie detector test that seemed downright dumb to ruin your life on national tv.
I did like Celebrity Apprentice and Oprahs Big Give and I did watch Rock of Love those are about the only reality shows I have watched. I will be watching So You Think You Can Dance next month I love that show!

I like some reality tv, and despise the rest of it. I like some vh1 and tlc reality shows, like rock of love and I love new york because they're funny. But I do think the mahority of Reality shows are utterly trashy.

i think today theyre really over crowding the market with these shows like really the Real World was probaly like the only original one that started it .however not alot of people watched ..but i think it was Survior that i barely watched that started this must have a reality TV show for every channel like its plain rediculous these days ..ughh like in hollywood i guess their motives are why even hire writers when they can make crummy shows like Keeping up With the Cardians or one of those Love shows

It depends on the reality show, I really do like the reality cooking shows, the challenges, I just finished watching the ultimate coyote ugly competition, and I have to say my favorite won, now its can you duet.....

But the cooking shows are my favorite.

i absolutely hate reality tv. i will not watch it under any circumstances. i watched a few episodes of various shows just to see what all the hype was about and it is not for me.

I cannot stand those shows! They are not closer to "reality" than I am to being married to Brad Pitt! I just don't understand the allure of some of these shows...if they want a real reality show they need to show one on how to survive farming with fuel prices reaching astronomical prices and commodities low and not enough hours in the day and not enough help! Or...
how about one where you be a single mom waiting tables while your mother,who you cannot stand, watches the four kids and tells you every single day what a loser you are for marrying a bum who leaves you!! THAT is reality my friend.....
