I know I'm a hard worker and a good employee my boss tells me so when she get's the chance to by saying thankyou to me. At times tho I really get mad at my boss for they see I'm swamped w/ work but call me for other things on top of the work I alreay have placed in front of me. Last night for example I was swamped w/ work I kept trying to keep my cool but knowing I only had 3 hrs and 45 minutes to complete the job (yes we are aloted so much time to get the job done every night. Every night is different depending on what you have) which I looked over and saw my assisant manager walking by knowing I was swamped but sent no help and calling apon me to do other things as well really had me mad. I was muttering under my breath " why is it always me you have to choose to do things there's others besides me and you wonder why I don't get done on time " I know I had a really bad additude but it's the fact I felt I was being taken advantage of. Has anyone ever felt like they were taken advantage of? I have tried talking to my boss on this and she said " we know you can get the job done w/ no help and your one of the good worker's here that we can ask you to do something and you do it and get it done " I don't know it's just frustrating as ever.

In many cases we are taken advantage of. I am in a situation like that right now but due to jobs being scarse I must hang in there. I am biding my time for something better and then I will exit stage left. Patience will win out in the long run. Good luck!

You are right on jobs these days being scarse and I did find another one befor I left the job I was haveing a real hard time with. I left that job as of June 20th
of this year. I had almost been there 6 years had I stuck it out til Oct 17th of this year but could handle it anymore pysically and mentally I was crumbling fast and had to pack up and leave befor I had a nervious break down. I now have another job that is much better treats me with respect and is alot less stressful more laid back.
I am sorry to hear that you are in the same boat and I hope you can find it in your heart to really hang in there for I tried that like I said but just couldn't anymore. Noone should have to go home in tears every day because they feel so stressed out that's how I was a complete wreck. I do wish you the best of luck and thanks for responding take care. :)

Hi there Remembering1996,
i am angry to my bos to. I feel like i have working "Romusha" working with him. Right now i work starting at 8 am until 11 pm, and my health condition is not very good, I got diarea, cough, fever and mag. and i still got to work for him without sick day off, my friend that changes shift with me doesn't care and i understand because he need his day off too. Hes been working same like me 8am till 11 pm at my day off.
The worst is the salary. I tell you honestly, i only got $55 a month. And i got to take care his dog too without paying. You feel better now, comparing with my condition? The good advantage is i can online. But that's it!
Some time in the middle of the night he called my room and told me to fix some mistake that i can do it tomorrow, Do i working 24 hour in this hotel?
One day i'll make sure i leave if he doesn't pay me enough. For sure.

I must say you work very hard and I give you a high five on that that goe to show that you really care even when your at your sickest of days. If you feel for the little bit of money you get a month from him isn't enough to me it's not and he makes you work like that where your health condition isn't good and all I would consider leaving. You don't need to feel like that and I'm sure there are better paying jobs out there for you to work for. I do wish you the best of luck. :)

Personally I think this is beginning to happen more and more. As the Economy gets worse more often more is expected of us, even if we are having Bad days as well. I think sometimes they never stop to think about helping out or asking if everything is OK and instead just come down upon everyone hard as well. I know somedays some of mine is due to being Diabetic and it frustrates me when it feels like no one wants to help or understand.

Oh yes, I work in a group home for developmentally disabled adults. We all deal with every day tasks but when it comes to extra I am always the one to get assigned it. We have weekly shopping - 2 trips - I get to go every week. Both times. We have meds to be ordered, picked up and inventoried - again that is my regular responsibility. I was also assigned the landscaping -- from design to shop to installation. I should also mention the interior design - from painting to carpeting to bedspread and curtains.
Oh, yes..the personal needs of the guys from lunch boxes to underwear and vacation planning.
Last week, I got wind of diet changes and planning.
My co-workers sit down and watch TV while I am running my azz off.

I give you thumbs up for being a excellent worke like you are. You do so much and of many things. I don't blame you for getting mad that you have to do all this running around while your other co-workers sit around and are lazy. Just con't to be the good sport you are and I hope and wish you the best of luck on it. Thank for the response and take care. :)

Hi. Remembering1996. Yes he has. One night we had to work a little late on our shift. And my boss had me do all of the work all by myself. The boxes were coming down the line, too fast, and I could not get any work done at all. I mean it was just too hard for me. So, it got so tough until I was backed up. He had no choice but to allow a girl to help me that was working across from me. She volunteered to help me out anyway. I was so glad because I could not do all of this work all by myself. My boss knew this, but he still placed the burden of work all on me anyway. I felt so ashamed that night and so useless. I was glad when I finally quit this job the next year.

It is tough when you have to work under those circumstances. Having a bad boss or controlling boss can ruin your day. We are at work most of the day that we are awake so we should at least like our job, our company and our boss. There should be respect and dignity at all times. Hang in there - hope it got better for you!
