Did you have a locker when you were in school? How did you decorate it? |
| |
| In junior high and high school we all had a locker in the school's gym, where we'd go and change books for every class, or store our gym clothes or whatever. That's pretty common. We were always trying to decorate our lockers, with pictures of 'hotties', or posters of some kind...we just had a lot of fun being creative. Did you guys have a locker in school? How did you decorate it? Was there ever a problem with someone breaking into them? My lock on my locker never seemed to work, but nothing was ever stolen. | | | | | |

| | I never decorated my locker. I wasn't really into that stuff I just threw my crap in it and headed for the next spot. There wasn't really time to hang out in my locker. I was in a pretty big school and there was only 5 min between classes so a lot of the time I didn't have the time to stop. So it wasn't something that I cared about. | | | | | | |

| | We did it out of boredom! Part of my school was done as video school, and some grades were combined. So if we finished first they'd let us out in the gym until the others finished their videos. | | | |

| | I had a locker. I never really decorated it much though. I usually put just one or two pictures in it. If I decorate to much it ended up getting all mixed in with the rest of my stuff. I decided I only needed a picture or two of my favorite things to keep me cheery all day. | | | | | | |

| | I don't know why but none of the schools I ever went to had lockers...we had to wind up lugging all our books all around with us..gee, guess that was our means of pumping iron...LOL. The only place that had lockers in the locker rooms in the gym area in high school-but nope even then never decorated any of them...just kept those god awful looking gym outfits in there..yuk | | | | | | |

| | I went to a Catholic high school, and we had strict rules for everything. I know I didn't have my locker decorated. I don't think it was allowed. I remember having locker inspections to make sure our lockers were neat. I just kept a sweater in there, and some extra socks in case I got cold. | | | | | | |

| | I never decorated my locker. I never saw the point of it. And my locker was so messy that there really was no way to keep it decorated. I just threw things in and tried not to be late for the next class. | | | | | | |

| | I studied in a school where the lockers were only for the players... and that was a bummer... but now that i think about it... it is good that we do not have lockers... since it was such a big problem for teachers and school administrators in the schools where i taught... Seem like students prefer to hang out near the lockers than inside the classroom... | | | | | | |

| | It hasn't been very long since I left High School, I graduated in 2003. The first high school I went to didn't have lockers but the one I transfered to after 2 1/2 years did. I was a junior at the time and because it was late in the school year, I do not think I would have gotten one even if I wanted it. During the next year when the school started to assign lockers, seniors had priority but even then I did not ask for one. I didn't need one since I carried a backpack. My classes were far apart from each other so if I had to stop just to get a book, I would be late. | | | | | | |

| | we didnt have lockers in schools. when i was in my elementary and highschool years in 'replacement' of lockers we had 'cubbyholes'. we didnt store our books there though. we always had to bring our books back home for homeworks and etc since the subjects are every otherday. m-w-f and t-th. bringing those books were backbreaking you might say. our books were a lot and heavy at times. what we stored in our cubbyholes were our hygine kits, our portfolios [where we store our test papers evrery major quarter exams] and our art materials so we wouldnt have to bring it back and forth. we didnt decorate it either since it was just a little space and the administration wouldnt allow it. when we were in highschool though some of the boys in my class would the top portion of their cubbyholes, administration didnt even know about it. lol. | | | | | | |
