Have you ever had something stolen from you that you could never replace? |

| Have you ever had something stolen from you that you could never replace? I went on vacation for three days to Niagara Falls Canada and came home, I was home a few minutes and decided I wanted to go and deliver some souvenirs I brought back for my friends. By the time I could home my house was robbed and they took my stereo system. They didn't even know what to expect so they used my garbage bags to take it out. I had no insurance, too poor, and I was still paying for the stereo, I still owed $700.00 on it. I have never had a stereo system since then, I could never afford to replace it. I also had a beautiful charm bracelet with trinkets on it that which had taken years to acquire, I had it since I was 16 and it was worth $2,000. One of my son's teenage friends stole it, and of course that was something else that could never be replaced. I have had jewelry stolen from me on several occasions and now I do not have any jewelery at all. Have you had anything stolen from you that you could never replace? | | | | | |

| | When I was younger and moved from my fathers at 19 I had plenty stolen from moving from place to place and having roommates. I had my identity stolen which wasn't so bad bad a debt ($2,500) but certainly not a great as it happened when I was 18 and didn't even know it until trying to apply for a store card when I was 22 and finding out the situation. I have had a yearbook stolen from my senior year but I had a falling out with a roommate and they wouldnt let me have it along with 100 pictures which were all from senior year and when it happened I was crushed but finally gotten over it. I've kind of had a boyfriend stolen from me because I had a friend in school I used to rave about a guy from work I liked alot and then later found out she convinced him to go out on a date with her but ended up not being interested anyway, still that hurt me but it was strange that I just let it go and still spoke to her on friendly terms. I ended up hooking up with him and he turned out to be a mad genius and a real jerk anyway--probably how I got over it with my friend. | | | | | | |

| | We have been lucky that we have never had anything stolen that could not be replaced. My husband had about 200 dollars worth of tools stolen about a month ago there was a few tools that you can no longer buy though. At least we have never had anything irreplaceable stolen like a wedding ring or a family heirloom. | | | | | | |

| | I have had items stolen from me, but none as expensive as yours were.. My son did have someone try to steal his car stereo, while the car was sitting in our driveway.. Well, he had the faceplate taken off so that no one could take it, so they got nothing.. But we had to replace the windows in his car, since the thiefs broke all of them trying to get the stereo that he had worked and paid for.. I hate a thief, that sounds so strong, but I honestly hate a thief.. I am so very sorry that you lost the items that you did and hope that soemday the thief will be apprehended and punished.. | | | | | | |

| | My husband's favorite bike was stolen that he bought while in the military overseas. We can't afford to get another just like it. I did give him a new one that he does ride, but not as often as he use to ride. | | | | | | |

| | I had my Grandmother's cameo pin stolen once, in a home invasion. Everything else was found when they caught the robber. It wasn't worth lots of money, but it had sentimental value. And I had a camera stolen after taking vacation pictures at Disney World. | | | | | | |

| | There have been a few times that I have loaned things to people and they have never given them back to me. Even though I would ask them over and over again. Once I was in a book store and met an author. She told me that if I purchased her book she would autograph it. She did. After I finished reading it, I let a lady at work borrow it. She never gave it back. Things like this have happened to me numerous times, even with family. My niece picked up this habit from her mom. She borrows things and loses them. I think that I am finally learning the lesson that I am always preaching to others. "Don't loan out anything that you can not afford to give away." | | | | | | |

| | Yes. My ex partner stole a ring that belonged to my Grandmother. It was passed on to me when she died, and she'd had it since her father bought it for her when she was 21. My ex stole it because his friend had invited him to go for a drink, and asked him to take a case of beer up to his when he went. We didn't have the money for beer, so he stole my grandmothers ring, pawned it off and used the money he got to buy a case of beer. I knew nothing of this until three days later when a friend told me she'd heard a rumor that my ex had used my grandmothers ring in order to get the money for beer. Upon checking my jewelry box, I discovered it was true. I confronted my partner and told him that he needed to go get the ring back because it was my grandmothers and totally irreplaceable. He promised he would, but of course, he never did. Someone in the UK is now walking around with my Grandmothers ring on their finger. It should be mine. | | | | | | |
