RE: Rent is due next week and our money is MIA

Well, our check came! However, it was a little bit of a mess. We ended up going to the lawyer's office yesterday afternoon because as of yesterday, we still had not got the check! The lawyer called the insurance company yet again, and they swore they mailed it on the 23rd. We were like, well where is it? It wasn't even coming from far away!! Well, the lawyer questioned the insurance company, and low and behold they had sent it to our OLD address!! We double checked with the lawyer BEFORE they mailed the check that they had the right address, we called my boyfriend's old work to make sure they had the new address, the insurance company, and then the lawyer went back and triple checked. We have no idea WHY they sent the check to the old place! Maybe just for spite? Anyway, So while we were leaving we were thinking now what, our check is lost somewhere in the postal system due to our forwarding order, but maybe it really would be at our apartment today. We got back home, and still NO CHECK! I called my ex at our old place and asked if we were still getting mail there, and if anythign was there, and he said yes-- and the insurance check was there. OMG! How mad were we! I'm greatful that the check WAS there and not lost, and even worse just not cut-- but still! So thankfully, we are paying our rent on time, and can buy some groceries! Thank you for all of the mylot prayers!!
