|  If you are not British, you have probably never even heard of it!Here is the official website: http://www.marmite.co.uk/love/It's a very salty paste which many people use spread thinly on toast or bread just as it is but can also be used like a stock cube or beef concentrate to add to a vegetarian sauce or gravy.
You may know Vegemite (which is not as nice, in my opinion!). What other salty things do you like as an appetizer?

| |  yuk! I hate it. My other half loves it but he's strange and he likes anything beer-ified. Because you do know that Marmite is actually the crud off the top of beer. It's just mouldy yeast basically. How yukky is that?!

| |  No, I haven't tried it, but I would. I like a green olive spread on pumpernickle bread. I also like parmesean crisps on spreads with seseme crackers. Hmmm your making me hungry. Time for lunch.

| |  Well, I have a problem with Marmite actually, Mr.Panda likes it and I don't, so if he eats it, I make him brush his teeth before he comes anywhere near me, I don't even want him to breathe on me if he's eaten it, oh and it's the same for twigletts. :)

| |  My family is from Cornwall, England and we've never heard of Marmite! We all go the other way and go nuts for sweets, such as Lyil's golden syrup that comes in a can! We put that on almost everything! It use to be hard getting it here in the US, but now we found a shop that sells it! YUUUM!!!!!
