Hey, guys! Here's another photo taken by me. It's a close up of a dandelion.:) Not too much to say about it, as it is a fairly simple image. It was taken with my fujifilm finepix s5700.
Enjoy! And, if you wanna se more of my work, please do visit my blog:

hello! :)
How are you? all ok? hope so!
That's a nice picture. What i would do is work a lil'bit on it. Increase a lil'bit the contrast. Maybe add a frame and a signature? That way, the photo will look more... "pro". :)
Take care and keep up the good work!

Well thank you for your advice and between you and my brother I suppose I will eventually get suckered into trying to be more "pro" like, but you know I mostly take the pictures to set up fine arts painting. I need to think about how much time I want to spend polishing the photos or whether I just need to leave them as-is in order to have more time to pick up those brushes and start painting!
I get rather conflicted over that now that I have a better camera. With the old one, trying to be more pro wasn't an option, lol. This is a new experience. Thanks for sharing your blog, it is great and I like having you as a friend on PhotoCamel!

That is a beautiful picture. I love black and white photograghy. Ive decided I should take the next step and get a decent camera. I have a Power Shot, but I've just been using that for general pictures, like for family and parties and such.
Do you have any reccndations for a good camera? Ive been looking at the Nikon's. I'm not sure that's definitely what I am though.

well, in photography, when you wanna take that "next step" (ESPECIALLY when you consider gettin' a DSLR), the amount of money you're willing to spend for the camera lenses (and NOT for the camera body itself) should be first taken into consideration. I myself wanna get a nikon d60, but i'm waiting a bit for the prices to drop. The lens kit on a d60 it's pretty decent (if not GOOD), and it should suffice for starting. Depending on what you need that camera (and especially if you want to do large prints or not), you could consider gettin' a cheaper 6mpx camera. My fujifilm s5700 (s700 in the us) is a pretty good camera, but doesn't behave good in low-light and has a lot of noise when i crank up the iso. I don't know about other slr-like cameras. Try reading reviews (dpreview.com is the best place for this).
take care
