I haven't eaten enough crab to know if I would like it or not. A while back I had some left over salmon that I used as crab cakes. I got one of those crab cakes seasoning packets and made the salmon that way. I thought they turned out pretty good. My granddaughter's boyfriend didn't care for them but what does he know?

Oh you are making my mouth water. I love crab legs, they are one of my favorite foods. We have a Chinese Buffet that we go to when I want to eat them, all you can eat for about $18.00, I go in and go straight for the crab legs, if I eat anything else it might be a bowl of soup, but I make sure I get my moneys worth on the crab legs. I don't like real strong tasting fish like flounder, but I do like Tilapa, and it is one of the most inexpensive fish you can buy, it fries or broils good. Another of my favorite seafoods is shrimp, I especially like the large butterfly shrimp, and scampi. Well guess I better get my shower, will have to go get those crab legs tonight.

HI Marcie =) Sorry since it's been a while since I last responded to your discussions--this one really sounds yummy!! I also love crabcakes, though what we often use are th imitation ones (I do enjoy these as well, especially in sushi--just made these just the other week in fact) I also love tilapia, even just fried or if it's the live ones, it's especially great cooked just with a little olive oil, added with chopped onions and fresh tomatoes, cook it in the microwave for about 15 minutes on high & you've got a yummy meal as well! Other fish that we love to cook is the white cobbler or sutchi fillet--we normally just bread it and fry it then serve it with a mustard mayo dip-- oh my--now I'm getting all hungry! ;) Happy weekend! =)

Aww, you are such a sweetie, Marcie =) I sure did miss dropping by here & made sure to answer at least one of your discussions, you sure made me smile a lot with your reply, thanks ^_^! I'm actually a bit busy these days, since it's my older sister's wedding this saturday & we've been quite busy with the preparations for the last months & still a bit behind--yiikes! My other sister & I are doing the chocolate souvenirs so it's been quite time consuming...have to make hundreds of it & with a limited amount of space in the freezer & few molds, double yiikes!! As for the other fish, I don't know what other names they have but it's basically a white fish, sorry I can't give any more alternative names... Anyhow, so nice to hear from you & will try to drop by more often (good luck to me though since we have overseas relatives coming in for the wedding & would be busier!) Enjoy your Sunday! =)

I have never made crab cakes before. I am not sure that I would like them as they are seafood and I am not a fish or a seafood eater. But I tend to lean more towards the seafood than fish, in fish, I will eat filet of soul, canned salmon, and tuna, shrimp, scampi, scallops, and squid.

Yep, I love crabs so much and they are expensive too as well but it is worth the money when the family loves it! Fish? Definitely love tilapia or milkfish! Happy Friday! Cheers!

I love crab and almost kinds of fish. Swordfish steak?! Yum!! Odd, but the one thing I don't really care for is lobster, I'd rather have the crab. I don't think I've ever had crab cakes, but I think I would probably like them. I also like to have the cold crab salad. I like to make fish a different way than a lot of people. I put it into a skillet with a little water, and then cook it till it's translucent. Then I take it and transfer it to a broiler pan and put a little butter on top and some paprika. Then I broil it a little bit. I started making it that way because even the cheapest fish tastes good, and that was THE only way my kids would eat fish when I made it.

I purchased some crab cakes from my favorite store - they were restaurant quality and my goodness they were so very good. I bought them with my husband in mind, not expecting to like them... as anytime I have bought crabcakes before it seemed to be all breading... these were tender flakes of real crab with a light breading over all - but not like mushed stuffing with some crab flavor like some of them. regretting that I did not buy more when they were available.

I do like the imitation crab meat. I like to season it with some butter and lemon pepper. I like tilapa fish, my oldest daughter turned me onto it. It don't have to be Friday for me to eat fish or seafood. Don't eat it too often though. I work late until 9pm every Friday nite, so I usually just eat something that I have at work that I can heat up in the microwave.

Can't have a lot of seafoods here as my husband is allergic to all shellfish. Means most of the time, I have to go without too. My fave fish? Not sure these days. Anything that is firm, slightly oily and tastes good. Probably trout.
