A NY bride and groom were arrested at their wedding reception and have pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after the bride trashed a set of the congo drums in a spat with the band.
The bride was also accused of breaking a speaker in a dispute over the music at the April 5 reception. Fabiana Reyes has been sentenced in Village Court to the six days she already spent in jail. The 41-year-old also paid the band $1,500 for the damage.
Her 42-year-old husband and their 21-year-old daughter were accused of interfering with Reyes' arrest. Elmo and Helen Fernandez pleaded guilty Thursday. Police used stun guns on both during the fracas.
The daughter says the couple were legally married in 1986 but delayed their church wedding until last month.

Good Grief - bet it was worth waiting for their church wedding then...NOT! I know things can get very emotional and heated at a wedding and little things get exaggerated out of all importance but still a bit of an overreaction on the brides part from the sounds of it! I think it is really sad that they will have very vivid memories of their wedding for all the wrong reasons! xxx

Some brides can be total brats when it comes to their wedding preparations.
We also have delayed our church wedding until such time as we have the finances to do so, and I pray I don't get that worked up over something so meaningless. It wasn't as if it was her actual wedding.
Yes every bride wants her wedding to be perfect, but how often does that actually happen?

I think there was a story of this in Pittsburgh too. The groom was a dentist and they got married a month before but came to Pittsburgh to have the ceremony in front of friends and a fight broke out.

I just do not see the point of people doing this sort of thing, spoiling what should be a lovely day by kicking off and starting a fight. I am so glad that I was not a guest at their wedding I would have been so embarrassed. I hear quite a few stories about huge fights or the bride and groom causing trouble on their wedding day. I am glad that I was not like that on mine!!

how weird is that. imagine a bride getting arrested on her wedding. isnt that weird. why do people do such things. do they wanna get media attension by doing it..i wonder..........

Wow who in the world would want to ruin such a beautiful wedding, but not only that your own. I tell you what there are so many weirdos out in this world!
