We Need a New Coffee Maker  

I can tell you which one I would not recommend! Do not get a Black and Decker. My s/o bought us one with the timer, because I was getting up so early and we could set it up the night before and coffee would be ready when I go up. Well, I just returned/exchanged the 3rd one, and I will be taking this one back. The first ones the timer stopped working on, this one the clock doesn't even work right to start with, it makes coffee, but you can't set the clock so therefore you can't set the timer. So, I'm done with that brand, when I take this one back, I will look at the other brands, Mr Coffee has always had a good one, I still have one, thankfully, that I pull out when these others have gone on the blink. I also had a Proctor-silex, it lasted a long time too. The mister coffee one that I have, is about 4 years old and still works.

I don't have a favorite brand of coffee maker. I just have one of the cheap ones from Walmart. Its great you have your gift card, you can pick out a coffee maker and it won't cost you anything. I take that back. My favorite coffee maker is the kind you get for free.

We have a Cuisinart that grinds the coffee before brewing. It makes the freshest coffee you can possibly imagine. It was about $100, but has been well worth it. It has lasted and shows no signs of giving out. I would recommend it to anyone.

Yes I think its time to say good by to MR.Gevalia and hello to another guy MR.Coffee is my brand and he works great...I have had my Mr.Coffee for over 4 years and he is going strong...He loves to heat it up...:)

That sounds like a great idea. These gift cards from gather and boomertowne come in handy. Espically for something like this.

Honestly, I bought mine at the Dollar store. It is a Proctor Silex and you can buy those just about anywhere. I drink so much coffee and it has never gone out on me. I think I have had this one about two years now, and the one (same brand) before this one I had a little over five years. Of course, mine does not have all that fancy stuff like the settings of a timer and clock. But it is a pause'n'pour. And I like to think because I saved so much on my coffee machine I can buy my good coffee that I like. Plus, it's not like I am making cappucinos with it.

You are not the only who needs a new coffee maker we have been through about four or five in the last year,i cant seem to find that really works good.I have to have one with a timer but i just undecided right now.But i do know about black and decker run fast.

It is great how we can earn some gift cards here and there, and they come in very handy when we need them. I am saving Gather points for Home Depot cards, it will be a long while before I have enough Boomertowne points to matter. I use my myLot money for things like that. I usually get the cheapest Wal Mart coffee maker I can get. We paid around ten for the one we have now, and it has lasted more than three years. That is because my hubby put it on a cleaning schedule and cleans it with vinegar, or with Shaklee Basic H2. Have fun shopping for that new coffee maker.

I hardly ever drink coffee, the only coffee maker I ever had was a melita, not sure if they even make them now. At least you have the gift certificates that is wonderful.

I've got a Mr. Coffee maker. I've had it for at least 9 years. It makes good coffee with no problems, but the automatic timer no longer works. I used to be able to put the coffee and water in, and set the time for when I wanted the coffee to start brewing. I liked to wake up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee, so I used to set it right after dinner.

I've been waiting for my machine to break so I can justify buying a new one that has the automatic brew feature working. For now, I still think it makes good coffee. I would buy a Mr. Coffee again.
