How would you deal with all the attention if you were famous?

My husband used to work at LA airport and he saw a lot of celebrities there. Their personalities went from one extreme to the other. Muhammed Ali, for example, was a perfect gentleman, and really nice to everybody. He was in the bar and he signed autographs for every single person who asked until he absolutely had to go and catch his plane. Another celebrity whose name I won't mention was really rude and abusive when a fan came up and asked for an autograph.
How much would you protect your privacy? And how would you handle fans asking for autographs in situations where you are out in public (but not a public appearance type thing)?

I'm actually studying to be a performer and If I do make it big then hurray for me but If i don't then I don't really care. But If I do become famous then I would take it easy. Man I would really like to know who was the rude celebrity. But I would also sign all of my fans autograph because if it wasn't for the fans then those celebrities wouldn't have a job or have their paychecks anyways. What I would protect is my family and my privacy. I would try my hardest. If it's not a public appearance then I would still sign their autograph.

If the person were not overbearing, I would consider it an honor to give an autograph. What would a celebrity be without their fans? Normal people.
