bzzzzzzzz...BEE!!

bee on a leaf - this is a macro shot of a bee on a leaf. I used a wide aperture, to blur the background and keep in focus only the bee.

Ha ha! This is a shot i took today. I saw this bee on a leaf, and rushed into my room to grab my camera. Lucky me, the bee didn't fly away. So, i took some shots, and this one was the best of them. Let me know what you think. I appreciate comments, and i am constantly trying to improve my photographic skills. Take care!

Wow! What an excellent close-up! The detail is amazing! What camera/lens did you use? Haha, I do enjoy taking photos of bees, but I'm always afraid they're going to sting me!! :)

thank you! I used for this shot my fujifilm finepix s5700; it has great detail in macro and in super macro mode. At the moment i was shooting, the bee was busy. :) so, i had no problems. :)

That is a very clear picture. You can really see how fuzzy they are. It's kind of hard to see them because they flit around so much. Your camera takes great pictures. What kind is it? I have a FinePix s6000fd. It's pretty nice, it takes cool pictures like that. I use it a lot in my garden for shots like that, but mainly it's for my kids.

Hey there! Thank you for your comment. I use a fujifilm finepix s5700 (s700 in the us). It's not top of the line, but it does a pretty good job. :) Take care!

That bee looks so sweet and innocent, almost cuddly. And to think that when a wasp got into my enclosed porch yesterday I dispatched it with a flyswatter. I could have taken a photo first! In retrospect that was a photo opp! Hah, I guess that is what separates you "pros" from us amateurs, lol.

"pro"? where? where? haha! I am FAR FAR FAR FAR away from being a pro photographer. I am passionate, and i try my best. And i get lucky from time to time. That's it. :) Thank you for your comment. Really appreciate it (as always). Take care!

That is awesome. You were lucky to have the opportunity to capture this photo. I am surprised the bee was still there when you returned. Congratulations!

That is a good picture. Very clear. I like how its not directly in the center. They way you have it, gives it depth. thank you for sharing. keep up the great work.

Pretty nice shot there dude. I tried to get into photography but, I think writing is my stronger suit. That's cool that you are trying to improve your work. That shows dedication.
