My son is 5 years old and goes to kinder 2 days a week. Yesterday all mothers were invited to a special tea party. Oh dear. The kids were so happy and the reason? They did all the cooking. Well I survived and boy was I scared for my life . They cooked some donuts (in those electric donuts maker like toasters) they were so hard It took me 5 min to eat 1. They had feary bread and some scones with so much jam and cream they turned red. But it was cute and ment a lot expecialy since its my sons first day at school. The kids gave us a box they painted them selfs with poem on it that made me cry and lots of sparkly things on it that is spread all over the house, also a heart that my son decorated and a doll that he made. Do your kids do things like that?

Oh that sounds like so much fun for the kids & the mums - pity the donuts were hard, LOL! My kids make things at playgroup for special days like that, but they have been sick and haven't been for 1 1/2 weeks so they missed out on making it this time :(

You can still make things at home it would be lots of fun if you have time to do that. My son decided at home to make me cookies. He got a biscuit, some fruit juice, banana, and some chilly flakes and mihed them and told me to put them in the oven. Poor thing spend last night and today standing by the oven waiting for them to be ready (I never turned the oven on).

That sounds so sweet. Unfortunatly I don't have kids, but I remember something like that when I was in kinder. Yes, I still remember kindergarten, anyway we made cookies and ice cream with chocolate sauce. It was so messy and so silly, but fun. All the moms seemed to be happy about that. I hope if I ever become a mother I can experience the joy and love that most mothers have for their kids.

If you wish to become a mother than I wish you all the best. I had tears in my eyes the whole time. You see my boy has a mild autism so this was very special to me. The poem is so sweet and I know that is some generic poem taken of some cerial box or something but its beautiful. I could write it here but I dont know with the copy rights.

When my son was little he made a red plastic heart with a chain for me to wear.it was really kind of cute. He also made a photo collage of himself and his little sister that looks really good and is hanging on my'walltoday And now he will be fifty in June.

wow that is so nice and I bet it means a lot to both of you. The chain thing reminded me about my sister's first mothers day gift. My nephew made her a macaroni chain and he insisted that my sister wears it it was so funny.
