In oil or in water?

I prefer tuna in oil.

What do you put in your tuna?

Mine is simple. I make mine with the slightest amount of mayo possible (I hate mayo), Old Bay seasoning and relish

I prefer my tuna in oil. More flavourful and I actually use that oil to fry my tuna in, yup you read right I fry the tunalol. I chop up onions and tomatoes and fry them first, then I add the drained tuna, a little salt and some ketchup. Mix it all up real good and put it on some lightly toasted bread buns. Oh yum! I have a tin of tuna in the cupboard, I feel like having one now but I'm out of bread...

I always have mine in water, although I'm not sure if I've ever tried in in oil before. I just always get it in water since that's the way I've had it before. I guess maybe I should try it in oil the next time. I am pretty boring with my tuna, lol. I don't mix it with anything. I just usually use it in wraps with a little bit of cheese and sometimes a couple of crushed crackers to add crunch, or sometimes I just put some plain tuna on a cracker and eat it that way.

I buy mine in water. I don't think I have ever had it in oil. I usually do mayo, salt and pepper. I will sometimes put some chopped up hard boiled egg in it, too.

thumbup Here's a cool recipe ... Cherry tomatoes stuffed with a tuna mixture, for a pretty and tasty appetizer.

Tuna Tomato Bites

INGREDIENTS:
1 can (7 ounces) tuna
1 small package (3 ounces) cream cheese, at room temperature
1 ripe mashed avocado
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco or similar pepper sauce
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 pints cherry tomatoes

PREPARATION:
Drain and flake tuna. Cream together cheese and mashed avocado. Add lemon juice, chili powder, salt, pepper sauce, Worcestershire, and tuna. Refrigerate to chill thoroughly. Wash cherry tomatoes and hollow out centers.

Turn upside-down and drain well on paper towels. Fill each tomato center with a heaping teaspoonful of tuna and cream cheese mixture
Makes about 40 to 48 appetizers. Keep in refrigerator until serving time.

Old bay seasoning sounds good with tuna. I will ahve to try that I usually make the classic with mayo relish, cerlery and onions. I never thought of old bay but it makes sense to do.
