What kind is the best to grill I suppose they are all good. and you don't have to worry about that many calories. I have never did it before. Can you give me some tips about it. this is my guess, I should get some foil, and put some holes in the foil right? I have seen where they have tin pans with holes in it. i seen this last week, I guess either would do. How do you do yours? I think salt and pepper, is good maybe put some lemon on it? get me some Ideas.

No salt that ruins the taste of fish, lemon for sure& pepper. foil, a couple small holes for the juice to drain out, grill about 8 minutes on each side & check it . It should be done by then>.Sounds good!Lori

Sea salt is better than table salt and you don't have to use as much.

I don't really do fish, and I just use the oven grill if I do, but what you said sounds about right. I do fish in tomato sauce in the oven as well because I really do not like the taste of it that much.

Well I have grilled salmon, blue fish, fresh tuna steaks, mahi mahi, and sword fish. There is also porgies which are also good, I use the McCormick Peppercorn Medley Grinder, Garlic & Sea Salt Grinder, red onion,, yellow, red and orange peppers with fresh lemon juice that I squeeze directly from lemons wrapped in foil and placed on the grill. And all of them taste great this way. I hope this may help.

I'd use foil to line the grill with so the fish won't break apart and fall through the grill. Cat fish is good, perch, and flounder is if you can keep it together.

I grill mine different. I use the tin foil and I don't put any holes in it. I place a pat of lo-cal margerine on top, and just a quick shake of paprika. Then I seal the foil and throw it on the grill and cook until it's translucent. This is the only way I could cook fish that my kids would always eat. Doing it this way, you can use any kind of fish that's on sale. People who have eaten my fish say it's kind of like a mock lobster taste when it's done. I also do it this way on the stove: put the fish in a frying pan with just a little water to cover the bottom, put a lid on and steam it till it's translucent. Then remove it from the water and put it on a broiler pan, dot of butter on top, and a shake of paprika. Broil for a couple of minutes to take the water back out, but not till it's too dry. It's really delicious doing it this way either in the broiler (stove) or on a grill. Happy eatin!
(Dang...now you've given me the itch to go fishin!!)

I think it was you or Marascott talking about Talipia the other day, these are very reasonably priced and they hold up well with grilling. Also a lot of people grill salmon. I am of the mind set that anything you can cook on the stove can be grilled. Personally I like mine with lemon pepper spice, or you can buy a marinade that comes in a bottle, it looks like dressing. You can get it in several different flavors. I also like to baste with butter, then squeeze lemon and add parsley flakes. You can either use foil, or you can buy grill baskets at Wal=mart for about $6.00 in lawn and garden. I bought some of them last year and love them. Don't forget when you grill your fish to also grill the veggies. They have a wonderful taste grilled, squash, zuchinni, tomatoes, peppers, corn, onions; oh am I getting hungry.Enjoy and think of me while you are chowing down.

If you like to steam your fish you can use aluminum foil and wrap the fish in the foil with some dill and lemon juice. I have made salmon steaks on the grill without using foil. Just be sure to coat the fish with some olive oil before grilling. Don't cook it too long or it will dry out.
