Tree House

Did you ever have a tree house or at least experienced living in one? When I was younger, maybe about four or five years old, we had a tree house located near my paternal grandparents' house. It was really cool! My cousins and I would go up the tree house especially after lunch and hang out there. Some of us would even have our siesta there. Later on however, my grandparents had that area cleared to give way to the construction of a new house within the compound. Fifteen years later, my uncle built another tree house near his house. The new tree house is bigger than the one we had before. Today, we still enjoy going to my uncle's place and enjoy staying in the tree house on hours end.

Hi! That is so cool! Ive always wanted my own private tree house but I guess t wont be advisable since im living in the city. We do have trees here but we odnt have any backyards to plant a tree and build a treehouse big enough to support at least 3 peoples weight and the weight of the tree house itself. I also like to play on swings so if ever when I do have a treehouse I gues sit wouldnt be complete if there is no swing even if it is made out of tires. So I guess a treehouse will jsut be forever in my childhoods dreams. If and when I do have kids I just hope they get a treehouse too if they want. That would be much favorable to me.^_^ If they dont want a treehouse well then never mind. I wont die if I dont get it but if I do life would be much fun.^_^

Well, at least you have a province to go to where there are lots of good trees and such. Ive lived here all my life and most of my family lives in the city too so pretty slim chance to get to experience a tree house or a tire swing even once.

Wow! That sounds so cool. I have never had a treehouse but I sure would have like to have one when I was a kid. I did spend a lot of times with my sister and other friends hanging out in trees, sitting in the branches and stuff. I might need to mention to my youngest son and nephew that they might need to see about getting one built.

When I was a kid, at my favorite cousin's house (favorite, as after all, there were eight of them!) they had a big tree house. It was built by the oldest cousin (I always had a crush on) and it was pretty high up. There was one spot though where there was a gap in the wall just covered by a piece of cloth (don't ask me why as I have no idea). One day I guess I almost fell through that hole, but my cousin (cute oldest) grabbed the front of my shirt and prevented what could have been a bad accident.. he later said he saved my life and I didn't argue with him, because at age 60, he's still pretty durn cute.. Actually I don't even remember almost falling, and it's somewhat of a miracle I remember the tree house at all! As for some reason, 95.8% of my childhood is a blank.. But I still love tree houses.. cabins.. One time my mom and an aunt stood up a bunch of boards in a circle of small trees and built us a little cabin! It was great! Always loved that stuff!

I never had one growing up and I didn't really know anyone that had a tree house either. I always thought it would be cool to have one though. A place I could go and be by myself and just hang out. I thought it would have been cool to have sleep overs in a tree house. It would be like camping but yet more like my own little house. If I got a tree house, I wanted one with windows and even a little door. I always saw tree houses as being a kids own private house.

Hi dolce_vita! Wow, that is something I wish I had when I was a child. It will be really cool if as a child you have experienced such. However, my father is really scared for us when we just climb trees that is why he is not comfortable at that time that we have a tree house. My father is afraid of heights, that is why. haha..
