I just found an aluminum rotorary gasless lawn mower on sale in my area.

Yes, it's just blades that rotate as you push it. So the only power is you pusing it. It's really really cool.

Thanks, I'll be going after I get off my computer. I was feeling badly after my last post that we didn't have a home depot here. Lowe's doesn't seem to carry them, so I thought unless I could hitch a ride to another state (closest one is two hours away in Vermont), that I would ever get one unless someone was going south of here 3 hours away and I could hitch a ride. I didn't even know you could get a sharpener, we have a person in a small town near here who has a business sharpening all kinds of tools and lawn mowers. So live and learn. Sounds like it will be a wonderful deal. If there's none left, I'll have to bug them for a raincheck. Thanks for letting me know what a great deal it is!

I walked in the door, no reel lawnmowers, the clerk said they were sold out and she asked if I wanted a rain check. So I said yes. She gave me one and said they would call when they came it. So I didn't quite make it in time, but I'm on the list for the next batch.

They had 8 rainchecks and they are only shipping one mower at a time, so I had to wait my turn and it took a long time, but I finally got it. Take care.

Congrats, I mowed my lawn today. The neighbors laugh at me a bit but I am paying way less then they are and I have a good time doing it.

Mine is doing great and I haven't even sharpened it yet! Only the round tough grass that my husband let get knee high with his gas mower is not cutting. Love that when I hit a stick, it just quits, I remove it and go on. With the other kind of mower, sticks and stones can lead to fewer toes, feet, and fingers! It is soooo much lighter and easier than the old-fashioned ones. I can pick the entire thing up with one hand, can't carry it very far, but trust me, the old ones were back thrower outters! Even if all you did was push one, your back and arms felt it very quickly. No one believes me that it's way easier than the old ones.

I've never cared if my neighbors thought I was crazy. Just put my laundry on the clothes line this AM. I'm the only one who does. Sometimes I think people miss the entire reason for living in the country. Just by it getting warmer outside and using my clothesline, our electric bill went from 200 to 76 dollars last month. My husband loves it. My lawnmower is going to be a hard sell, but the clothes line isn't.
