I don't lose any sleep over it, in fact if it's going to happen, I welcome it. Why? Here's my thinking. The mysterious Mayans who simply vanished without trace, who had quite an understanding of venus. The oh so clever ancient Chinese and their astrology,but these aren't the only ones to predict the end of the world. Most of these stories are from cultures that also believe in an after life, so if we accept one part of their culture we must consider the rest. The state of the world at present is no great loss if you consider an after life, for a spritual world would not require a physical 'home'. Therefore, I consider that if the future of this world is Armageddon, then my future is spiritual. And I can't wait for that !

Well if this was going to happen then I would of heard of it by now lol. I have never heard of the world ending on december 21 2012. You know how many people try to predict when the world will end. And remember when a lot of nuts predicted that the world would end during the whole y2k well that didnt happen. Just like this isnt going to happen otherwise more people will be rioting and whats the poing in going to school if your going to die in 4 years. I dont beleave this at all.

I think you should get over it and get some sleep. If the world ends that day, what are you going to do about it anyway? Folks have predicted the end of the world since they created calendars, and they have all been wrong so far. I don't think you should lose any sleep over it, instead, you should live your life well while you can. We will all day someday, and none of us know what day that will be, so get over it.

I don't know. I've heard that the Mayan calendar predicts that the world will end on 2012. I really just don't believe it. Many things have been predicted that have not come true. The mayan's civilization came to an end thousands of years before that. I could be scared. But I have more important things to worry about then that.

Wow. My husband just mentioned that about an hour ago, and now I'm reading it here. Who knows if the world will end on that day. I kinda doubt it. We've heard stories like this before and we're still here. I don't worry about things like that. Worrying about what MIGHT happen is just plain silly. You can waste so much of your life worrying for nothing. If the world ends on that day, well, I guess I won't be around to deal with it, huh?

I think better get your sleep while you can. See if the world does come to an end, there’s nothing really we can do about it. I mean if you have tornadoes, and epidemics and tsunamis etc somewhere, you have some other place to flee too and start a new life. But if the world itself bursts from within, the only option for us would be to float in the universe till eternity.hmmmmmmmmmmm not a bad idea really as I think that in the universe there is no Hunger or aging or tiredness of whatever….so what then is there???? Yes, a bit complicated thought really so I’ll give it a go right now! but thnx anyway for bringing up so many important predictions.

Look at it this way, if it is to be the end of existence then there isn't much that you can do about it. If it isn't then you get up the next day and get on with your life. There have been a lot of dates thrown around in the past and obviously they were wrong. That's roughly three and a half years from now, a lot can happen in that time.

*shrugs* at the rate things are going, I'm inclined to think it's at least possible. But mostly, I think it just means some sort of great change will take place that year. Maybe Mayans and the people from China thought we wouldn't need calendars after that date? *shrugs* After all most prophecies only predict, "the end of the world AS YOU KNOW IT" not like "the end of the world PERIOD"

i would not pay any attention to predictions of this sort. go on with your life. i have found that worrying about something never changes the outcome anyway and the outcome could be a good one and you would have wasted all that time and energy on worrying. as far as nostradamus is concerned his writings can be interpreted so many different ways and it can mean absolutely nothing. i would not put any stock in it. life is short and precious so live it without worrying about such things.

i honestly just got out of youtube trying to research this stuff but honestly, i think it's a hoax of some sort. yep, as cliche as it may sound, only god knows when this world will end. but it's kinda scary if you pay much attention to this prophecies since they oftentimes have proofs. moving forward, i just hope the end's not yet on 2012. i still want to do a lot of things! ^_^

All that I know is there is a second coming of Christ. HE and even the Father God never knows when. There is no exact date and time mentioned. But we all know that the world will end. We all just get to be prepared...

nobody can predict about that . you see in china few year back a scientist worn but that will happen so dont give pain yoursalf except all which god gives you if god want mishappining then nobody can stop that

Wow, AGAIN the world is supposed to end? It seems that I can remember several other dates the world was supposed to end on, and it didn't. And some of those predictions also quoted Nostradamus. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Besides, even if the world really was going to end that day, is there anything you would be able to do about it?

Its weird that i am reading this discussion. A few days ago my mother mentioned to me this exact date.And how she was told and i belive she even believed that it was all going to end on this date as well. I know one day some day whenever god choses the world will come to an end his way when hes ready. I dont think that he would make it unclear for anyone to see either. I know he has told many of us in many different ways, and it is up to us to see for ourselves.TRUST IN GOD. he will lead us to the path of righteouness. Only he knows the day,night etc etc. sometimes i wonder about this, and part of me wants to be worried, but i do not FEAR this, if it is what he choses for me then i am happy.

I'm soooo not worried about it. If it ends - oh well - but I doubt it.

Why can't you sleep? Nothing you or I can do about it except to accept Jesus Christ as your savior and you'll be fine. I'm starting to believe it too because in the bible it states that when the end of the world is near, we're not going to know one season from the other. Look at how the weather we all have been having. It's May and it's still in the 60's here in North Carolina where it should be in the 80's or 90's. I'm not worried because I have Jesus on my side.

How many of us have heard so many predictions as to when & how the world was supposed to have ended but didn't, 12/31/1999 being one of them... How y2k was supposed to have wiped out our electronically depended society & was supposed to swirl downwards since then... What happened? Few minor glitches here & there & now hardly anybody talks about it... According to bible, NOBODY knows except GOD when the world is gonna end... No amount of our humanly effort is gonna stop it when it happen... Why worry about something we have absolutely have no control over... Take time & effort to concentrate on good things in life & make the best of it so that when it happens, you have no regrets... We all die at one point or another, when & how is irrelevant... Live your life to the fullest & try not to have regrets, you'll sleep better at night & at the end, you'll be a happier person for it...
