Yaaaay! It did pinch a bit but I was very brave and they had to put a couple of butterfly stiches because it was opening just alittle bit. And its swollen. But otherwise Im good to go. And Im so glad thats all over with. Thanks everyone for your support. Do you have any war stories and stiches or staples?

After they've been in a while, stitches get a bit tight, so it's always a relief after they come out. Glad it went ok - the healing process will quicken up now.
I almost chopped my finger off a few years ago with a carving knife, it was quite bad. They managed to stitch it all back together at the hospital, with about 12 stitches. When I was having them out, 2 of them had gotten really right and it hurt getting them out, but once they were, it felt so good.
My finger is still numb down one side as I'd cut through some nerves, but I have feeling at the tip, so I can still type thank goodness!
It happened almost 2 years ago now, so I guess I will never get the full feeling back in it - but it doesn't worry me too much.

Am so glad to hear you are doing well and will probably feel alot better now the staples are out. Did you have a disk problem? Guess I didn't know the whole story.
I did have staples in the back of my head after a bad fall 7 yrs. ago. I thought they dissolved but just can't remember. Had a fractured skull and concussion from a fall in an ice skating rink. I was working at the time. As a result of the fall, I can't smell and can only taste a little bit. Sheared the nerves in the back of my head.

I am glad that you are OK.
I don't have any story to tell.
I was busy all day long, so I miss your first post.
I missed you anyway.

Yeah those staples sting a little bit like a bee. So glad you are on the mend Terry. No big war stories here, just been through it a time or two. How are you feeling and getting around?

Glad to hear everything is doing fine with your neck. Thought for sure it would hurt like heck when they removed the staples. I was staple/stitch-free all my life up till last Sept. when I was helping the local food pantry clean up the mess from an arson fire that destroyed their building along with all the food in it. I ended up slicing my middle finger on broken glass pretty bad and had to go to the ER. When the guy had to give me a shot to numb my finger, they ended up taking my daughter out to the waiting room so she couldn't hear my non-stop cussing from the intense pain that shot caused. Heck, my finger barely hurt b4 I went in there. I should of refused the stitches and just had them bandage it up tight to keep the wound closed. It was bleeding profusely so I knew the cut wsa clean. After bout a week when they had to come out, I was actually playing with the stitches and moving them around thru the holes they were in. lol I did lose some nerve endings in that finger but otherwise, it's all good.
