How do you feel about prescription drugs?

i stay away from them as much as possible because of all the side effects and my distrust for the pharmaceutical companies and their so called "studies". i wonder how accurate their studies really are? i was talking to a girl once in a waiting room of a physicians office who was telling me she does medical research studies all the time just to get paid and doesn't even really take the medication supplied. i told her that was irresponsible and did not really care to hear anymore about it. i got up and moved away from her. imagine doing that and telling people about it too? there seems to be a drug for every little ailment these days and people just blindly take them just because their doctors suggest it. not me. i research it and ask myself if i really need the drug and try to find natural alternatives.
