I am not sure what you do as far as religion, but pray and ask God to help you get through this time in your life. He will give you peace that you don't understand. It's a part of our lives that we all will deal with in one way or another, but we have to allow it to help make us better and not bitter toward life. I hope this helps, but I am really sorry for the passing for your friend.

You don't say how old her Mother was or if she was in good or poor health but I work as a carer for the elderly and disabled, cared for both my parents and believe me, Death can be a blessing for them. I've seen a lot of death and it always hurts! I cry for weeks, rail against the unfairness of it then I just keep reminding myself that they are no longer in pain, and that for most it's been a 'kind' ending. My Mum had sleep apnea and just stopped breathing and to this day I'll swear she knew it was coming. For a few days before she kept saying she was ready. The real unfairness of death can be seen in that of the young! From personal experience I can say the over-whelming emotion is anger! You don't know who to direct the anger at so for a while you just 'hate' the world!
You need to just go with what you feel, and express it, even to strangers like us and the best thing you can do is be the 'ears' when your friend needs to talk and the 'shoulder to cry on'. That will help you both get through this sad time! Best wishes to you both!

He was perfectly healthy and had everything goin for him. He was very loving and sweet. He is also a twin. So I cant even begin to imagine what my other brother is going through right now, or what he will go through on his birthday, a day they shared together. The best I can tell you is that time does heal wounds. It may take more time for different wounds. If the wound doesnt heal, then time will numb the pain. Say a prayer for your loved one and her daughter. I know this is said all the time, but we can never lose faith. God bless you Terry and I hope this helps.
