Are there any fun, free, or at least inexpensive, word games on the internet?

I love word games. I did a kind of cube scrabble for a while, but then it started causing problems for my computer and they promoted it as free, but they wanted money and if they didn't get it the pop-ups started over-riding my pop-up blocker, etc. About that time I was getting bored with it anyway. Word-jhog was cool until they started the last letter is the first letter of the next word. So after you get points for jazz, the next word had to start with a z and over half of the time there was nothing to follow it. So what word games do you play? I like word games because I guess my brain is just oriented toward words. Why do you like word games?

I believe that we can post links as long as it's not to GPT sites and if it's related to the post.
I like Wheel of Fortune, Bookworm, and some games that I forgot the title.
There are also lots of fun word games in neopets.

Yes I do like word games. I play all the time on Pogo.com where the games are free. There are several words games on the site. Everything is free unless you want to upgrade and double the jackpot the amounts. I chose to upgrade so I won't have any popups and can continuously play for as long as I like. Word Jong is a fun game to play. Have you played on Pogo? I've been playing Keno since that's my game of choice at the casino and enjoy numbers.

No, I haven't but I have at least one friend here who starts at least one Pogo discussion a week. Sounds interesting if there are word games there. Thanks and take care.

Hi there! I am also a word game fanatic, scrabble is my favorite. I ustill enjoy the traditional scrabble on board but it's also quite intersting to play the cube scrabble, isn't it. This has also been my concern because I just played online scrabble through their limited trial time. Once I entered in a paid competition but it's quite addictive and costly, so I stopped joining such. I'm still playing trial games on the web to enjoy myself.
I really love word games because they always keep me mentally alert.

That must be the same one I was on. If they had said a dollar a year or even up to 10 dollars a month I wouldn't mind, but those competitions could be costly. So when the trial ended, really messed with my computer. Hope we both find some good ones, soon and thanks.
