Why do people have such a hate on for Obama?

I don't really understand some posts I've seen here where people say that Barack Obama is horrible, and people hate him. Please explain this to me. I don't live in the U.S, maybe I'm missing something.

I don't understand it either, I am not from the US either so only see coverage in dibs and dabs on the news and on the internet, and as far as I can see, he doesn't seem a bad chap.

I don't hate him. I just don't think he is a qualified candidate at this time. He may make a viable candidate in 2016 but he is too inexperienced this time around. Funny, how any disagreement with Barack Obama's candidacy means that we either must hate him or are a racist. Yet folks come on here day in and day out calling Hillary Clinton every name in the book and nobody questions that. For that matter, nobody questions negative things said about President Bush. However you feel about him, he is the President of the United States. Why are you so super sensitive about criticism of Obama and oblivious to the much more stringent criticisms of other US politicians?

I never referred to people who simply don't support him. I've read other posts here where they call him the anti christ.

That's something I've been trying to figure out. Since you don't live in the U.S. you may not have noticed this site is primarily Republican or at least conservative so in some cases they'd hate whoever the leading Democrat happened to be. I hate to accuse anyone of being a racist, but in some cases that is the reason. For some, the hate e-mails and propaganda that has been circulating for over a year have suckered them in despite the fact these lies and half-truths have been disproved over and over again. Some of Obama's biggest haters are unfortunately supporters of Hillary Clinton and I think that's really sad because there's no reason you can't like one candidate without hating another. It seems there's way too much hate everywhere these days! Annie

Because racism is deeply embedded in the American Psyche; And for most White Americans as well as non-Black Americans they cannot truly except a person of color becoming the leader of one of the largest governments of the free world. We must remember America was founded by white men for white men,and when it's time for real change it is always a scary situation, all you have to do is look back at ours or any other nations history and you will see that change always comes with a price. As for myself"I think that a Hillary/Obama ticket is one of the best way to go,it would curb fears that non-Black Americans of a Black Person becoming the leader of the free world so to say.

Well, people have different opinions to different things. And when it comes to electing leaders in a certain country, everybody is looking for the best that they could depend and trust for the future of their kids and the whole United states as a whole. Most of the time, Obama do not know what he is taking about in some of his speeches. If you just hear his speech? You would be upset why some people wanted him to be the leader of United Sates. Well, I have nothing against Obama because I am not in United states either but I have some relatives who are there... and they don't like him too to be the president. Well, you can hear from others' opinions of why.

Maybe they want another Bush? This is what I think. They create so much crop about Obama, because he is half black. Some people are not ready for. White people think he is too much black (because of his wife), black people think that he is too much withe. They also don't like Hilary, they are not ready for woman to run the country. You are missing human fear my friend. Fear from unknown.... Fear from race, religion, gender and on.... Fear from looking into real picture, not Internet B*S...... I don't care about race and gander, we are ready for change....give me UFO to run the country and let Bush to walk away from White House. Don't we have enough already? Europe is growing, USA is in recession and yet people are so naive and afraid to look into candidates agenda and possible rescue. Republicans create all they can to ruin Democratic image. If republicans will run this country we will have next war and more Bushmaniacs that before.

There is just something about both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama that causes a sort of Love / Hate reaction. You either love them or hate them. In Obama's case a lot of it comes from rumors that he is muslim, problems that his former pastor caused, and typical political mud slinging. There is also the fact that he does not have a lot of experience in Washington and a lot of voters see that as a major fault. I, personally, still support him and hope that he wins the nomination - though that does not make me very popular. But I do think these things, and possibly even racial issues, make voters feel so violently about him.

Do some research on his pastor and mentor Rev. Wright..that would be a good start. He still belongs to that church. He has been mentored by the man for over 20 years.

Your not the only one that thinks like that. There are others that have taken office and have don't alot worst that what he has done. Anything that has come out of his mouth has caused him trouble and that is not good for him. But i know they will keep going in bashing him anyway.
