what was the brand of your first digital camera?

well i have been using the sony digital cameras since i remember. now i have a eight mega pixel and 4x optical zoom in my camera. it is going very fine and since a year i have not received any problems. well i was also fond of my first camera but later i gave that to my sister.
any ways have a good day.

My first digital camera was a creative. It was more like a webcam, with a funny shell shape and not even had a screen where I could see the pictures. I wonder in what drawer it is now.

Good for you my friend. I have been longing to have my own digital camera too. But the budget for it still not coming my pocket, lol. If I already earned a lot here, maybe I will get one. I like a Sony brand digicam. I hope it will come soon...

Mine is SONY. I think its the cheapest of all the sony digital camera models. But its okay it has 7.2 megapixels already. I bought it last year prior to my vacation. Then I left it with my family when I came back here in Saudi for work. That would be my first digital camera and maybe the last. If I will buy again maybe it will be a video cam already...Hopefully soon...

I got mine just a week ago. It was sent by my husband through courier. It is a Kodak C530 with 5.0 megapixels. I'm planning to buy a sony so I could give mine to my eldest kid.

Very strange that all the responses are Sony users....

And strange enough again is the fact that my first digital was a Sony. I can't remember the name of it now but I currently own a Sony Cybershot DSC-F707. I love it but I need to upgrade to more MPs. I'm thinking of getting the Sony Alpha 700 SLR.

I don't remember how I got my first digital camera. It must have been a gift at some point because I got it when I was young and wouldn't have been able to afford one myself. My first one was a Fuji with about 3 mp which at that time was a lot. My dog chewed the lens off of it a couple of years ago and I had to get a newer one. My other two have been Canons, I don't like the memory card for Fujis so I was really happy with the upgrade.

My first digital Camera was an Agfa, a lower end digital camera that took only 640x480, my avatar on this sight is one of my first digital pictures that I took with that camera, so even though its a low resolution picture its still one of my favorites, I bought it myself, I sold my SLR Minolta camera to pay for it,

My second camera was an Olympus, still Point and shoot however, it was 2.3 mega pixels.

My third camera a Toshiba a point and shoot of 5 mega pixels,

My 4th Camera Sony Cybershot DSC-h5 a higher end point and shoot and a nice camera, but I wanted better

The latest camera I just bought is a Nikon D300, and I love the camera I'm taking a lot better photos with it, and its going to take me a loooong time to learn this camera, its got so many features and bells and whistles that I can't even begin to understand them all.

I really need someone to sit down and walk me through it because manuals and I really don't get along...I need a visual training aid.

I got my first digital camera back in 2000 or 2001. It was an HP Photosmart C200. It was 1 mepapixels and didn't really have any features at all! You couldn't even zoom! Basically, all it did was take pictures.

The camera belonged to my dad. He'd gotten it for work. After he no longer needed it at work, he let me borrow it to use for a school project. That was about the time I started getting seriously into photography, so he let me keep it!

I've purchased many cameras since then. I am currently using a Nikon D300 12 megapixel DSLR. I've come a long way since that little 1 megapixel point and shoot!
