second language is English!! Okay, so Im talking about the chip and pin machine. I know they are all different, I can understand that but our machine, if you want cash back you have to press the green enter button to confirm and then do your pin and then press enter!! So simple, yet most people dont listen to you, even when you have said it three times or they just look at you blankly!! I have found that those who speak English as a second language understand and follow your instructions without having to be repeated or do iit automatically!! It is very annoying and I am starting to believe that its me talking a different language!! Why are the simplest tasks so difficult???

That's different, the machine I use, I have to wait, then ask if they want cashback and type it in, then they have to enter their pin, but I've found that non-English people stare blankly when you ask about cashback, so I give up and ask them to enter their pin, which they seem to understand, then businesspeople and people who work in shops know exactly what to do and don't need any prompts and I find that old ladies (and sometimes men) just want to put their pin in as soon as the card is in the machine. There are quite a few English people who can use the machines quite well, but also quite a few that have decided not to learn how it works and like to annoy cashiers. There's another simple task that some people can't do and that's wait until the person in front has been served before waving whatever they want to buy in your face.
