When you fail at something, do you get depressed or simply move on? email this discussion to a friend?

Whenever I fail at something, I don't like to think of it as failure. Most times, I'll simply try something new. However, I take off a few days after my "failure" and then recoup my spirit before finding a new project.

Sometimes, I don't think that I will be able to move on. But, the clock keeps moving forward and one day, I wake up and find a new inspiration. It just happens that way, for me.

I'm not a master of all subjects. And, I've "failed" many times in my life at multiple things. But, I never stop. I just keep moving on.

How do you deal with failure? Do you treat failure as a learning experience or do you take it as a sign that you're going in the wrong direction?

I always learn more from my failures than I do from my successes. Of course, I enjoy the successes more, but if you learn from your mistakes, you're always ahead of the game.

I dont really get depressed, I might be disappointed. I am a bit of a perfectionist. I believe in practice makes perfect, and try, try again. If it is something I need to do, or really wanted to do I will keep at it. If it is something I really dont care all that much about I will probably let it slide on by. Unless of course I was challenged then I will do it until I get it.

I take failures as challenges, of course I don't like to fail, but if I do there's no point in getting depressed, because I'd just waste time with that, so move on!

I'm sort of a perfectionist, and a procrastinator, and I'm very stubborn. If I try something and I'm not great at it, i will try again, depending on what it is. I'm super competitive as well, but if I'm not going to win, I generally take my toys and go home. Not real mature, I know, but no one knows what its like to live with a man that is good at all things athletic! I'm over it, because he does not LET anyone win.

Whenever I fail something I always feel depressed at first as I am a competitive person and then learn to move on through forgetting that it happened but whenever it come back in memory,I always get depressed and sometimes agitated.

When I fail at something I do get down. I fail at something nearly everytime I try something so I should actually be used to it now. But no, it still gets me down.

I used to brood on things for days and beat myself up (mentally) about it, but now I just tend to brood for a few hours and then I tell myself to get over it and then I come up with a whole new idea to try. Then the whole thing starts all over again.

Well I didn't finish my photo class. I messed up it ended in May. I didn't have the extra money to pay to continue. At the same time that is life. I will take what I have learned from taking this class and take better pictures from it. They wanted $75.00 more dollars. In the next 30 days when they mailed me this notice I was a little upset at the same time I felt like i had been ripped off.

I'm sure things will work out. You'll take good pics now, anyway and that's not a bad thing!

There is a saying that goes like this: "Every diappointment is for some good". I usually noticed that when something dont move in the direction I want it to move in; it usually work out to my advantage in the end. I will be somewhat dispponinted but I dont get depressed. I will pick up the pieces and move on.

Failing is the only way to succeed. If you do not fail then you are not trying, not trying leads to not growing and not growing is a for of failing.

Thomas edison made 200 commenly used inventions trying to make the lightbulb. Abe Lincolin filed in business twice, failed for senet twice. and ailed at marraige before he became one of the USA's best president.

"Failure shouldn't be a problem, but a useful experience" - these words are easy to say, but it is not always possible to overcome a failure. Even so, there are a lot of ways to help you move on, like relaxation or meditation. Try to meditate every day for 10 minutes, it really helps. At least it helped me.
