Hmmnnn..i don't do that. If i find it easy, i just do a mental calculation but if i think i can't do it through my mind i use a calculator.

Well now I work and my work doesn't involve too much calculations anyway. And as it is computers have invaded offices. So whatever calculations I do I use the calculator.I used to do mental calculations back at school and college and later when I was preparing for the MBA exams as these require one to do so.But I think it is a good idea to calculate mentally as it can help improve one's calculating speed and is also a good exercise for the brain.

For numbers of three digits I always try not to use calculator because calculate mentally could exercise my brain. I hope by doing this could help me to think and react fast in all other aspect. I was told that if we use our brain constantly we would have low risk of having dementia when grow older. For complicated sums and big number I surely would use calculator so as to avoid making any mistake. Besides I could do it fast and accurately. For the sake of accurate of money counting, I usually will calculate again using calculator though I have counted it mentally.

For simple calculation, I use my head. But if precise answers are needed I use calculator.

This really depends on what I am trying to figure up. If I am working with big numbers or something very important I will use the calculator. But if I am working with small numbers I will either do the math in my head or using my fingers.

I use all methods depending on the circumstance. If it is easy I just use my head. Every now and then I will find myself counting with my fingers. Relapse to childhood or sinor moment which ever you prefer. But mostly I use a calculator and even then I get the wrong number.

I prefer to count in my head. It is just faster. For hard equations, I will use a calculator. I am not very good at counting on my fingers.

I always try to count with my head. and if the countings are too much I use calculator from my phone. We used to learn mental sums in school and we were forced to do them mentally without writing down or using calculator.

I'm tring to count everything in my head. If it's beginnig to be too complicated I'm starting to using calculator to make the counting faster. I don't remember when I was counting my fingers for the last time, hehe. The first method is the best couse you are improving yourself in the same time.

Well if there is no paper to write on, then I will do mental math. If I have no calculator, then I will count on my fingers.

I tend to use a calculator most often. Sometimes I will use pencil and paper or just add in my head but most often, I reach for the calculator.

I usually do math in my head. I rarely have to do math anymore, but before I had kids I did accounting. I would do the official work with an adding machine, but I always checked the answer by adding it up in my head. I guess I just don't trust technology! LOL
