I understand your querry it is really confusing and sometimes these terms are being used in the wrong way. Well to share what I just knew about this 3 terms. Legal Separation is given to a married couple who does not want to live together and does not want to consume thier marriage. There some grounds of how to acquire legal separation here in the philippines and it differs to other country. LEgal separation in a lay man's term is separated from bed. Meaning the couple is still married and they can't remarry. Annulment is the declaration of nullity of a valid marriage. Which means a couple who is married will need to file a case to declare thier marriage null. In this case once annulment is granted a couple is no longer considered married. THey will be again considered as single in thier civil status and they can also marry other person. Divorce is almost the same as annulment but it is not granted here in the philippines BUt there are still some exception where divorce is being allowed in the country. Like for example if one of married couple is a foreigner divorce can be granted. In divorce likewise in annulment both parties can have a new marriage. I hope I explain well or else my Polsci prof will give me a red mark LOL

Annulment in a marriage is when you married for only 24 hours, sometimes this happen when there is an agreement and it didn't work out eg (the girl tell you that she is a virgin and then you find out it is not true). Divorce is legal separation and there have to be a reason why you are divorcing. Separation is where you are separated but still married. You can be separated for years and then decided that you want to another go at it. Some live in the same building and they are separated. A person prefer this than the divorce. Sometimes it is still petty things that lead to divorce after a while the partners realize that they are still in love and remarried. So it cost less to separate. i hope this help you.

An annulment is the dissolving of a marriage that wasn't consemated. Most of the annulments I heard of are of Catholic couples.A divorced is the ending of a consemated marriage. And a separation is where a couple live apart but are still married. They may end up divorcing and then they may not.Since a divorced person is considered single again, they can remarry. So two divorced people can marry each other.

In a divorce or an annulment once these are final you can remarry with no problems. however a legal separation is just that, neither of you can remarry until the separation becomes a divorce. in a legal separation you are still bound by the marriage.

Here in the U.S. a divorced person can remarry, usually before the ink is dry on the divorce decree. You cannot remarry in the Catholic church unless you get the first marriage annulled, which is time consuming and not always approved so, in that case, you either have a civil ceremony or marry at another church. An annullment means that the marriage never happened. A legal separation is a document that each part signs agreeing to things like child custody, who is responsible for what bills and the division of property prior to a divorce.
